Xbox Live through my PC...Help Please!

Atari2600

Too dumb for the internet
I have googled this, looked on Xbox.com, did their online chat and called them on the phone, nothing has helped me.

Here's the deal:
I want to get on Xbox Live using the Internet connection that my PC has, similar to Xbox Connect.

Here's the setup so far:
My Desktop is connect to the Internet via a wirelss networking card, specifically the Linksys Wireless G with SRX card.

My Xbox is plugged into my ethernet card on the PC via an ethernet cable.

When I try and log on to Live, it tells me I need to get DNS information from my PC, but I couldn't figure out how to do that.

I have tried to do ICS, but my LAN connection is disabled, cause I am on the wireless network. If I enable it, it tells me it has limited or no connectivity. Also, in the advanced setting, where you click on different network things you allow other computers to use, I enabled whatever DNS thing was in there.

The tech support guy on the phone mentioned I might need to use the system link cable, but I haven't seen anything else to indicate that this may be the case.

My Plea:
So that's where I am now. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with Xbox and I got disconnected when they tried to transfer me, and the copy and paste responses in the online chat made me crazy. If you can help at all, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, he mentioned it, but he wasn't sure and I don't see that mentioned anywhere else as far as using ICS.

Update:
I plugged a router in to my ethernet card, plugged the xbox into that, and now it finds cables, negotiates an IP, but then it give me a DNS Error. It's progress, at leat I think it is...
