Looks damn good for an Indie effort. But just like the first one, the character models look sorely lacking. They just copy pasted the same model from the first game with a new costume. Doesn't look like any extra work was done on the main girl.

Bought the 1st game on XSX for 3€, played it for 30 mins, died to that wheelchair monster, never played it again.

Am I missing something boys ? Don't really have the time to be playing mediocre games

If you are a super fan of classic survival horror, this is a decent and flawed homage to the genre. The atmosphere is similar to a classic Resident Evil game, the story is kind of a silent hill esque mixed with Resident Evil and Eternal Darkness at times. The puzzles are way more abundant than any classic SH game and way more cryptic and difficult. The game is good but it was too cryptic for my tastes and I admit I got lost plenty of times and had to look a walkthrough to keep going. If you like that kind of games go ahead but if you don't, don't waste your time.

I think I'm a pretty big outlier here so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

It's a puzzle-heavy direct homage and considering it's an Indie game, it's particularly good in my opinion. I never had to look up a solution but the puzzles often made me have to come back after thinking it over for a day or whatever. The environments are fantastic and the atmosphere can be really creepy. There's a medical experimentation theme to it with weird old fashioned medical shit everywhere and that hits some severe discomfort spot for me. In a good way. The combat is functional but the cheapest element. It's REmake if that game had shitty animations and goofy guns. Also the main character looks stupid but gladly the game immediately gives you an alternate costume that doesn't look STUPIDLY nonsensical in context.

It's one of those games that would be a highly rated cult classic now if it had released in the early 2000s imo. It's very niche.

It is REmake, If REmake had worse design and worse puzzle implementation.

No she now wears the unlockable alternate skin from Tormented Souls 1. A pity though, I liked the original outfit

I think there were graphics improvements but they were not drastic. The lighting, animations, and responsiveness are much better than what they had in the demo for the first. When I died in the demo of the second game I wanted to continue unlike the demo of the first. I really like the weapon and item shortcuts.

P.S. The weakest part was face modeling/texturing and facial animations for side characters. Not really a deal breaker for me.
