Xbox One BC Screenshots: Share Yours!

Some comparison shots from Mass Effect. Looks better in motion and on TV.

I put the PS3 version in but I imagine its updated and improved with certain things such as lighting and shadows since it come out years later.

I can invite people as if they want to the preview program.

Add me as a friend on Xbox and I'll send the invite when I see you.

Do remember its not instant that your in, it can take up to 48 hours for you to become a preview member and have access to it.

My Gamertag is Quick Mustard

I also dont know if theres a limit to how many I can invite.

I added you and sent you a message. I feel kinda bad that I'm piling on, but I would absolutely love an invite.

So now we can all remember how ugly last gen was and put a stop to the all the "this gen sucks! I can't see the leap!"
Perfect Dark Zero is super ugly from an art direction standpoint but it was doing things at launch that few other games attempted on console last generation.

I'll put in a request for an invite. Would love to try out new features. I'll add you on my friends. My GT is my GAF name: Maelstorm1226.

Thanks for doing this!

Been a preview member since halo 5 and still no update for me. What gives?
The update was like a week before E3. Go to the preview app, go to quests, and start the quest for the backwards compatibility. If you have any eligible 360 titles in your download history they will pop up there.

Wish I had a 360 just so I could boot it up and check out the tech. Super cool tech, horrible horrible horrible art.

Wasn't there some Scotsman in it wearing a kilt? God what a terrible story.

So have they mentioned if this is actually an emulator running 360 game or what?

Software Emulator.

It basically emulates the 360 Overheads for launching .xex files and then runs the games in software mode and retains some of the 360 OS for the 360 guide and stuff.

At least as far as I can tell but it's 100% software emulation.

I'm assuming that if I own any of these titles digitally (Like Perfect Dark), I can now download them to my XB1 and use them?

I took some screenshots, but it's not giving me an option to share and they aren't showing up on xboxdvr.com. Other, older screenshots in my library have the option to share. What gives?

Added, if you're still able and willing to hand out more invites. I'm really eager to see BC in action!

Just a quick question: can you download the game off of the disc like installing on the 360, or do you have to download the entire thing from LIVE?

Geometry Wars looks like Geometry Wars:

Me last evening...Oh hey Geometry Wars is in my queue thing...just gonna try this out and see OH GOD IT'S 2AM WHAT HAPPENED TO TIME.

Seriously off the wagon after kicking the addiction years ago.

Love the classic 360 UI and splashh screen. all smiles.

Sorry I gotta comment, good software engineers aren't exclusive to Microsoft.
As a company yes, both are masters in their own departments, but that doesn't stop MS or Sony hiring people or already having people who are just as good or better then each others.
it's what they do with them that matters, and remember Sony did file a patent for a emulatior with trophy support ages ago, so a software engineer came up with that and Sony has done nothing with it.

MS is miles ahead in that department, they come up with .NET and a bunch of cool tech for software development.

I'm not even sure they are using a emulator, they very explicitly said it was native... Wondering if they come up with a LLVM type of compiler that supports several CPU architectures case being PowerPC and x86, or they using a Virtual Machine... certainly cool stuff.

So now we can all remember how ugly last gen was and put a stop to the all the "this gen sucks! I can't see the leap!"

Agreed visual fidelity diminishing return is a real thing. I mostly play on PC, going from last to current gen has done pretty much nothing for me regarding visuals.

Not that I care that much, crazy me thinks gameplay trumps all.

Kind of crazy that they got to fully emulate power pc architecture through software on a machine that's only about 7-8 times faster.

It supports screens, Game DVR (video), Twitch broadcasting, App snapping, App swapping and suspend (power off and power back on to same portion of game).

I tried it with Mass Effect earlier, it's very very cool.

That's insane when you put it like that. Emulating the 360 while simultaneously running the XB1 OS on top for all the added benefits. Kudos for the wizardry.

The best part of all this is the next time someone says a current game gen looks like ass and could be mistaken for an early 360 title, the hyperbole can be put to rest with one screencap.
