At my Best Buy at least 50 people got the ps4 without a preorder, I think they lined up around 8pm or something. You should contact your store and see the inventory number. Some may have snagged a good amount of extra units.

I went to a Fred Meyer this morning and just walked up to the counter to get my ps4. If you have to have it day one, then do the lineup. If you are a 'i'll get it if I can but no extraordinary measures', try to hit the Target/Fred Meyer/Costco type of places. The target I went to after Fred Meyer had about 15 people waiting in line about ten minutes before opening.

When I tried the controller at the EG expo I instantly liked it. MS and Sony have done a great job with the pads this gen imo.

Hell of a console it has been. Just wish no RROD as I feel that impacted software the latter half.
Time to change that route and get back on track. Really going to be interesting to see what software MS can bring this gen.

Microsoft started the generation by tripping on their feet and falling backwards, but they got up, put some bandaids on their knees and started running. Now I'm more interested on it than even before, I'm very excited for the new gen.
