I heard the 16 player limit on XBL really keeps players from forming some power with vehicles and stuff. I expect reviews in the 75% range, but I don't care. I'll be getting it for sure.

Since DOOM 3 XBOX status is till up in the air, I've decided to go the PC route. The last interview about the XBOX version said it might not make it until 2005!

I don't know much about Socom... with battlefront, you can drive vehicles, fly snowspeeders, or be a ground pounder. Think 1942... just smaller.

socom has no vehicles. I assume a great deal is lost going from what, 32 players in Battlefield to 16 (socom's number). So I'd prefer to look at it optimistically and just imagine Socom in star wars universe with vehicles.

What did you mean about small numbers limiting ability to "form some power with vehicles?" Do you need more than one person for some vehicles?

Star Wars Battlefront has a lot of potential, I hope they get it right. FYI, Ebgames. com is running a promotion now with free overnight shipping for Fable, both Star Wars games, and Silent Hill 4. I just can't bring myself to preorder a Star Wars game after being burned repeatedly, but I am hopeful.

Well, I watched some DoH video and it looked pretty damn cool. The guy that did the narrating for the TV show is narrating the game. The game is just like the show... escaping inept cops, jumping the General Lee, etc. Plus it's $10 cheaper. I don't know... the cheasiness of it all has me intrigued enough to buy it.

For some reason Outrun 2 never really caught my eye. I figure I got my hands full with racers already.

What did you mean about small numbers limiting ability to "form some power with vehicles?" Do you need more than one person for some vehicles?

Because really there isn't enough people to effectively launch an attack from the air and ground... so I've heard. I think people are expecting to use the same strategy as they do in 1942. Of course people will just have to define new strategies in Battlefront.

definitely halo 2, outrun 2, and otogi 2. and the red star, although i don't know if i'll get it on xbox or ps2. probably fable...even if it's a mess, it'll be a fascinating mess. i'll most likely end up getting the xbox version of prince of persia 2 as well.
