ManaByte said:I think Nintendo and Sony have the right idea launching a system in the spring as opposed to the holiday season. You launch in the spring, and that gives the hardcore early adopters to buy their systems while word of mouth on the hardware spreads and you can start building up inventory for the holiday season. That way, when the massive rush for hardware comes you have plenty of systems to sell.
You can just buy the controller seperately if that's what you really want.GhaleonEB said:My take on it is, the best controller ever is launching in time for Thanksgiving, and it comes bundled with a system and along side some (hopefully good) games.
haha I'm tempted to wait because it does sound like something Fry's would doWait for pricedrop black thursday ($250 at Fry's)

GhaleonEB said:Is this really a surpise to anyone? Given the tech going into the box, and MS's newfound lust for a profitable XBox division, there's no way they could sustain a sub-$300 price point. At the same time, $300 has pretty much become the ceiling for new systems to be successful out of the gate.
And missing Black Friday would be suicidal.
The news I see here is that MS is trying to do what we've thought they were doing for a year.
