Xenoblade Chronicles X - Review Thread

Some of these reviews make me wonder how the original scored so high. Might just be a case of different reviewers frpm the same publication scoring the game.

Reviews are harsher this generation, where as last generation a lot of games seemed to be over-inflated.

Of course Im sure other things take place, but Xenoblade X is looking good with solid reviews.

Ah, Metro have released their review - 8/10.

Fallout 4? Witcher 3? That's really high praise. Goof stuff.

I feel is more of other teams figuring out Chelsea, or Mourinho making a mess out of Eva situation. Especially since Hazard ask for her to come in, maybe he felt guilty and its been affecting him.

Yeah been Barcelona Fan since Deco Joined back in 04', broke my heart when he failed at Chelsea, but I felt it was more on Scolari. Those were some dark Chelsea days.

I stopped because I got the Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 remakes for PS3 as a gift. Played those then school started haha. My last final is on the 11th then is Xenoblade time!

I don't think it's about teams figuring out CFC at all and I'll tell you why - they are making way too many basic mistakes, shocking mistakes for footballers in the premier league. The Eva situation should have never happened, though I think the club moved on from that now. They just need to do some basics right again.

Deco is a hero man, he deserved better. Scolari messed things up big time at the club, no doubt (look at what he did to Brazil last summer >:( ) My wife and I enjoy watching Barca very much - best attacking side ever IMO.

Good luck on your exams bro! Hope you enjoy finishing Xenoblade when you're done.

I wish you would do this for other review threads, because this thread has been nowhere near as terrible with that shit. I feel like you just want to find anything to outrage about.

he's talking about you

Next time there's a game I'm this interested in I'll try to :) I think ratchet and clank is the next one that I want and that's February.

There are a lot of NPCS you can recruit in NLA, yes.
You can also recruit other player's avatars for awesome items and XP.

If I read correctly, the player who's avatar you recruit for your party actually gets all that XP they received while partying up with you. Win win!

Anyone gonna be playing this exclusively on the gamepad? Hope it's okay. Polygon's review makes it seem like it'll be a chore.

You're right, and that is an interesting trend that I'd like to see more. Are there any articles exploring review averages over time?

A few weeks ago there was an article tracking IGN alone, and I know there's stuff out there for Famitsu, but no general study that I've seen.

operation rainfall effect, if nintendo had just released them without any issue it would have gotten 5s

Hehe.^_^ So it is the exact opposite as Devil Third here. If the game is not released like at all, i am sure the game will forever in our heart stays as 10 out of 10.^_^

Wiitalia: 9/10

"Xenoblade Chronicles X is a masterpiece for Japanese modern game development and one of the best Wii U games. An incredible open world game with very solid technology and a amazing art direction. The contents are even overwhelming, and this alongside a not-so-focused narrative pace, could scare some player. But book your travel to Mira: you'll never forget this journey!"

Have had it preloaded waiting to play since I could. I can usually trust Jim Sterling's tastes to line up with my own and his review really got me hyped. I love games with a lot of systems at play and this game is going to be pure bliss.

Seriously, go read up the Fallout, Driveclub, The Order, the original Yoshi Wooly World thread was pretty bad with low scores, Halo MCC thread, Witcher thread, etc. All of those have some really bad posts with a large amount of them where they are constantly trying to discredit the reviewer, find any little point and try to make it seem like what they write is not right. This thread has been nowhere near that, even the Bayo 2 thread was bad about it with hating on Polygons review, but this thread has not even had that, and I've gone through alot of it.

Was there even any other big JRPGs this year?

Not really, but they did say the following, which is pretty high praise:

"...a game that absolutely deserves to be spoken of in the same breath as The Witcher 3 and Fallout 4."

Also,

"The best Japanese role-player of the generation and arguably the best open world environment of the year..."

Okay hype has taken me. I haven't played a JRPG in ages. Over the years I've sort of floated over to the western RPG camp. Any tips or suggestions for a newcomer to the series?

Not that im aware. People tend to look at scores without merit sometimes. It doesnt mean the game is worst. Games are scored differently through different times based off different expectations. I think by this point it is hard to surprise people because we have seen it all for the most part, hence lower scores this generation.

Some people were angry that it got good scores as well.
Reviews Threads are the best for people that don't care for reviews

Oh. Well yeah I've seen that on other threads too. But its still gross in any case to be acting like someone's opinion doesn't matter since its not intune with your preconceived notions kind of like how the kotaku review was downplayed so much.
