I'm considering picking this up and I don't even own a Wii U yet. Lol
I'm on the fence about buying the console this late unless there's a major price drop or killer X-Mas bundle. I've waited this long so I figure I might as well see what happens when the NX is launched. If its backwards compatible great. If not I should be able to pick up a Wii U on the cheap when they clear stock. I've snagged 3 Wii U games already when I chanced on sales. But I have to say Xenoblade is the first title that makes me want to break down and get a Wii U for X-Mas if I can find the right bundle price....

Just decided to respond because it's a weird time and you might not get the definitive answer.
I heard in some videos you can but its late in the game. Not sure if its free.

EB games for me (Australia). Had no choice because I wanted the CE.
The game doesn't give a ****.
There's a clear creator's vision behind it and it's not backing off.
That's part of the reason I'm looking forward to playing it.
As one preview said, it's not designed by committee and focus groups.
The result promises to be very unique even if you don't agree with everything it does.

Hey guys, i got the game today and i thought it had complete off-tv mode. I don't have a TV currently where i live and getting one is kinda hard just for my use only. And as soon as i jumped to the game i only see the logo of the game on the gamepad screen. Does anyone has some tips or is it something i did wrong? I've already pressed a couple of buttons and touch the screen to see if it would trigger the off tv play.
Yea it's only 12 or so hours till release here (U.K.) and since there's quite a few people who already have the game I think it should go up. Otherwise where am I gonna spam my pictures of Mira?! I don't want to do it in this thread and annoy everyone haha.disgusting how people in this thread have it already and it's 6am on thursday here

I read that you need a TV to start the game (first time?), but don't know more details. Maybe somebody who has the game can tell you what you can press.
I think you need to be up to the part where you're a blade member, where they give you to map on the touchscreen, before you can toggle it. You'll probably need to borrow a TV for an hour or two to get there.

Friend ordered from ShopTo at 4pm yesterday, and it just arrived a few moments ago.

Ordered it at about 9:30 PM the day before yesterday, dispatched at 7:30 the next day and arrived today about half an hour ago. I only chose the basic shipping as well.
Well, for what it's worth, it took maybe a minute or two for me to install the data packs.
So theres not a option to toggle from the main title screen Settings Menu even? :O
If there it was i could just blindly tap the inputs to get there :|

I ordered a copy from Simply Games as well but it seems that won't be arriving till tomorrow.

OK, I live in Korea and have a NA Wii U, will this game unlock Korean Midnight or East Coast US Midnight do you suppose? Obviously I'll know in 2.5 hours but I'd love to know so I can decide if I should go out or not tonight. So hyped!!

If it means anything, my stuff from Best Buy usually ships the morning of release.
Like, sometimes 2AM on the day of release. And that's everything from normal editions of games to CE/LE/SE.
