It was announced in January of 2013 and hits NA a few days before January 2016 so it's almost been three years. Time sure does fly.
Lots of wonderful and detailed information here. Hopefully, this winds up in the OT OP since it helps explain the hows and whys of the functionality.
Rewatchng this just makes me remember how hype things hit as soon as they stepped into that skell for the first time. Only 5 days until we arrive in Mira.

I like how people didn't wanted it to be an mmorpg but now they will complain that it isn't an mmorpg where they could 100% play with their friends the game, lol XD
I think much like the clamoring for multiplayer in Elder Scrolls games, but dislike for the MMO ESO turned out to be, most people just want to be able to do co-op with their friends, but don't want all the rest of the trappings (and people) that come from making an MMO.
Yeah, we need more people like yamagami in this industry.
Trying to push out half finished games by a deadline and then forcing people to download day 1 patches is something that needs to be changed.

The game doesn't seem to be available for pre-order on any of the big french websites (Amazon.fr, CDiscount, Fnac), does anybody know why ? I've been trying to order it for the past few days but with no luck. I'd rather not buy it on the eshop since it's usually a lot more expensive there.

Anyone? Have they officially confirmed there's only one beard option? Or have they not said anything yet?
I already ordered the parts, I will get a #0 screwdiver and check if there's anything stuck in there, sometimes I stay a lot at my brother's and he has a cat, so its possible there's some hair there lol.
I'm so glad we've mostly made it past the "looks like Monster Hunter" phase. Now it's all about dem faces.
Feels like I've been waiting longer than 3 years though.

There's an in-game manual. Don't know whether it's any good, but it should be of some help, at least.

ksdfjsd I just turned on my WiiU gamepad and now they're advertising xenoblade X, the advert has such a cool design I want to keep it on my screen forever D:
The in-game manual is great at explaining what things are, but not necessarily a mechanic's proper application. Division Rewards, for example, are referenced but it never tells you where to go get them. If you miss it early in the game (or just forget like I did) it's basically impossible to recover that information on your own.
That being said, it's still a fairly well organized manual given the density of the game.
