Everything else does look good though. Glad I didn't burn my WiiU on that 30% trade-in that GS was doing.

The sexist outfits in Xenoblade were not much better from what I remember. Silly, and hopefully one day the culture will let us move past it.

Yeah ok that's a bit much. I'm fine with pretty much anything else. I go to the beach and water parks after all. But yikes with that... Hopefully NOA removes that outfit anyway.

Yea it's just gross. I don't know much about the characterization in the game but I don't imagine that character is a "kid" despite being designed looking/sounding as such.
I played like 15 hours of XBC, and I remember some of the armor for the female hunter being a bit "skimpy", but so was Shulk and the other guys armor at times. Don't remember it going THAT far.

That seemed to be what it was in XBC, like things you'd wear at the beach. The stream and the video from the previous pages had like their main tank character in under your evening wear. . .o_0

4 hours in, just finished chapter 3, D-pad works much better than I thought.

You can play as any of your party members.
NOA will probably bump up her age and also her height and behavior don't reflect a 13 years old kid at all. I will give her more 16+, imo.
I don't know how much you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert) but neotenous looks and skimpy clothing are huge parts of it.

This is made by Monolith not Nintendo. Monolith also made Xenosaga and that game had swimsuit outfits for the characters.

And I vividly remember Reyn wearing something exactly like that. Xenoblade was very much an equal opportunity game.
I've been to Japan a few times. That shit doesn't permeate the culture to the extremes as folks in the West think. In Tokyo, walking around in Akihabara sure. Kyoto? Not so much. It should get about as much a pass as gross shit in the US doesn't.
If it was a case of "Oh we weren't thinking of it like that. . ." (like Chibi Kurou Sambo or this pair of blackface sandals I saw) then I'd be like "Ok well. . .but you know - " This is obvious. And grossly intentional.

Xenoblade let you put any of the characters in lewd outfits too. You could choose not to if that was your wish. This is the same case with X, so why is something that you never have to actually see a problen now?

Xenoblade is equal opportunity in that it allows aquel levels of skin exposure for both male and female characters (though people will often only call out the female characters being half naked to pull the 'sexism' card, or calling Sharla a bad character...). However with X having an underage character, it's a bit awkward I have to agree. Seeing Lyn with those cupped boobs it doesn't feel appropriate for a 13 year old character. Will it bother me? No, because I have the choice to present her the way I want in my game. I'm not gonna judge others, nor Monolith for the options they present you because it's not what defines Lyn's personality.
