Xenoblade X import videos/streams thread

Clearly I won't, but it shouldn't be there in the first place. You're avoiding the issue.

I'm not avoiding it at all. The poster I was replying claimed to have "fond memories" of a game that also gave you the option to dress yor consevatively or not, but now when X does the same thing it's apparently something that's worth never buying the game for.

Man I hope this game comes out before August, my wife and I are planning a train trip from Washington DC to California with a sleeper car plenty of time to play

Are you here to lecture people or to enjoy the game ?
I can't empathize with you because those outfits are optionals and not forced on player.
Vote with your wallet but don't force your morals on us, please.

I'm actually here to discuss the game. A part of which is apparently the ability to put a child (according to others) in pretty explicit outfits. That is a feature worth discussing wouldn't you agree?

Surely you recognize the difference here.

I understand what you mean, but I think the issue here is that Lyn is very young. I don't recall any of the XC characters to be underage (correct me if I'm wrong). Scantily dressed 13 year old girls should not really be acceptable in any sort of medium, let alone real life.

The game looks great! I really love the games that nintendo are releasing for the wii u, but if there's something that is lacking a little it's these big action adventure games that allow you to explore a great world. Really happy that this game, zelda
and metroid
will fill this void

This is made by Monolith not Nintendo. Monolith also made Xenosaga and that game had swimsuit outfits for the characters.

Monolithsoft is a Nintendo studio. All of their productions are overseen and developed with Nintendo alongside Nintendo's SPD. Satoru Iwata is the executive producer of Xenoblade and X.

Xenoblade X is a Nintendo game, developed by Nintendo.

Looking forward to the Polygon article and ensuing 50 page thread about this outfit.

EAD has nothing to do with this. You mean SPD.

I really don't understand the train of thought behind putting an outfit like that in the game. Do they think it will increase sales? Does some artist think that's a good design and great fit for the game? I just don't see it myself.

Multiple artists designed whatever they liked and put it in the game. Plain and simple.

I hope you guys get all of this out of your system in this thread now and over in the graphics whining thread so the import OT stays clean.

Some people in this thread have never left their home and been to the beach or saw what some young girls wear these days. lol.

Totally. Just went to the beach and saw this busty 13 year old wearing a bikini that showed off her under boob. I was like "Been there SEEN that. . ."

Right. Because it's not something that merits pointing out.

I was just making a joke about the Bayonetta controversy a couple months back. Plus I didn't even state my opinion on the issue, you're just assuming I did. But if you just wanna make passive aggressive comments then by all means get back on that grind.

I was like "wish this was an armor in the upcoming Nintendo RPG epic Xenoblade Chronicles X". And goddamn Nintendo delivered.

I'm not sure I understand? Here I see an opportunity for the player to choose what the characters can wear. What's wrong with choice?

So because some people are doing it, it's suddenly ok? If I ever had a 13 year old daughter, I sure as hell wouldn't want her wearing anything like lyn had on.

Not happening. This game has been seen under a magnifying glass and criticized for almost every little thing (justified or not, that's your call) since it was announced and it's not stopping anytime soon.

The fact that the game even gives you the option to dress an underage girl like that is mildly disturbing.

The fact that you actually have a party member that is a 13 year old girl, is absolutely absurd.

In a game where your party is fighting for their lives every battle, nothing scream legit like having a barely pubescent girl in underboob attire in your group.

..as the TANK.

Say what you will about the questionable designs in other games (and I have), but imposing underaged girls upon the player's party, as requisite, and evidently entwined in the overarching plot, is macabre.

At least one can choose not to have a female Dancer in one's party in EO, if one can't settle on accepting the higher end possibility of her somewhat ambiguous, never stated, but clearly NOT a mere 13, or anything within that vicinity, years of age.

Lyn is 13. Underboob is a disgusting option for a 13 year old. How can anyone NOT be in agreement with me on this?

Lymle and and now Lyn. L is for Loli. L is for lewd. L is for lose.

For fuck's sake, people... come on.

Oh well NOW it's clear. No wait. It wasn't. Junior Member drives by with a "concern for concern troll" snipe post and expects people to divine what they REALLY meant.

And there was nothing passive aggressive about my comment at all. It was about as obvious as sarcasm can be.

EDIT: I don't have a problem with her inclusion in the group. Having her as the Tank I think is actually kind of funny (since it's not some beefcake). Slapping her in a bikini while the other characters run around in military gear is. . .just nuts.

Maybe no underboob but you will see young girls in very small bikinis which cover as much as nothing and they often get them from their parents. Holy shit, what should we do now? Or small skirts for little children who still go to the kindergarden.
See, I don't like that either but I won't act like crazy just because I see a little bit flesh of an animated character who acts ike an robot and is as real as world peace.

Sorry for getting to off-topic. ._.

So, you wil continue this conversation until the wiki change her age ?
Ok, let me go edit it before that topic turn into a toxic thread ove a number.

Lyn's default outfit is not sexualized and you can kick her out of your party as soon as you have a replacement available.

Man I have no problem avoiding streams, haven't even watched the Japanese directs or listened to the OST samples. Don't think I'll be able to quit GAF though.

I really don't understand the train of thought behind putting an outfit like that in the game. Do they think it will increase sales? Does some artist think that's a good design and great fit for the game? I just don't see it myself.

When you've got lots of outfits, and there do seem to be more than in xenoblade, you've got room for some variety. And judging from streamers there does seem to be an audience lol.

Pretty sure armors are also equippable for all characters, at least of the same gender.

You're missing the point. A kid in a swimsuit, or even a two piece isn't an issue. A kid in a swimsuit, two piece or underboob top (or really any armor piece which highlights her developed bosom) in a game that is targeted at a primarily male adult audience is.

So how many party members are in the game? And do they have specialized roles like in the first XB or do you choose them this time?

The whole point of contention is, "Why is it even an option, when it clearly should not be."

It isn't a matter of being able, quite rightly, to avoid the creepy shite.

It is a matter of asking, "Why is this in the game in the first place? Who is this game's target audience?"

Personally I thought my intentions were clear, but next time i'll spell it out just in case.

EDIT: And just to get my thoughts out there on the issue, I don't like it. I knew since we found out Lynn was 13 something like this was bound to happen. Am I gonna boycott the game? Fuck no, but do I wish they would get rid of this thing? Please.

The thoughts they or others might be getting with certain clothing makes them unconfertable I guess.
Well scratch that. I was unaware that Lyn is 13. I'm surprised Nintendo allowed this.

Technically infinite since you can recruit a ton of people from the guilds in NLA and then you can recruit other player characters online.

Does anybody still watches the stream or is everyone washing his eyes with holy water after this horrific scenes?

In the hitbox stream the guy is now in that basement with the enemies we already saw in the treehouse stream. I loved the music which they used for that cutscene!

I care more about the game then questionable attire that gives craptastic stats. And the game isn't disappointing me at all.

Okay, so we're having an arugment here over a number of a FICTIONAL character ?
Because really she doesn't have the height or behavior of a kid.
