Or they can just hide her age, like what KT did with DoA. Instead of "she is a 13yr old genius etc.", change it to "she is a young genius etc."

I'd prefer them to make her 16 years old or something instead of censoring the game, but let's see how it goes.

Making it possible to dress under-age characters in certain outfits is not an endorsement of making it possible to dress under-age characters in certain outfits?

That it's a natural consequence of the existing systems doesn't matter one bit, not letting you dress her in such outfits is an easy fix had they thought it was an inappropriate thing to let people do in the first place. That's my problem; as I said, the game is not encouraging it, but no actions have been taken to prevent it. Basically: they think it's ok, and I disagree and think it's a shame developers don't want to change or improve or take any stance whatsoever against this.

This is the last I will say about this. The game looks great, by the way.
 
Btw here you can see how Tatsu is gonna appear. He is always gonna be listed as a guest character.

they censored fire emblem and bravely default, so i think they will do these changes to some suits that are a little too much.



i also love the skybox of this game. I hope zelda has skies as beautiful as these.

Next time, you go shopping irl tell them to not sell candies or put any sign for prevention for children. Candies are bad for children.
They give them cavities.

And they replaced skimpy costumes in Project Zero 2 Wii Edition in Europe with Mario&Luigi costumes. Everything will be fine.

Differences in culture and US is not the whole world. You can state your concerns again when there is no actual change made when the game is out in the US.

yeah, kinda bad, most characters look weird i didn't think she was a child, just younger, a victim of the game excessive costumization and weird art direction.
they could change their age or alter some outfits i guess, would be ok.

The child doesnt have a swimsuit, all outfits are made to be worn by all characters, and scale to whatever size the character is.

But, yeah, some of these go way beyond OG Xenoblades original swimsuits, or even Sharlas more impractical heavy armors, I mean, those were actually swimsuits, and this goes into more eyebrow raising territory. And since any character can equip pretty much anything (I think I might die of laughter asphyxiation if I see some streamer with a huge male muscle chunk running around in a string bikini) well, lyn can wear it too.

Its to the point I seriously doubt those 'armors' will make it out of localization without change, and thats not even considering Lyn as a reason.

Isn't Shulk like 18? He's at least older than 14.
Like I mentioned earlier, when localizing it they should either change her age or the outfit or both like in the western release of BD.
Some could call it censorship, but I see it as proper localization in most cases

It's not an endorsement of actually doing the dressing. Are games where you can make your character evil an endorsement of evil? Clearly not. There are tons of games out there that give you the possibility of doing really horrible things... and also to not do them.

Not really. As has been said outfits aren't character-specific, and banning one character from wearing that outfit would be awkward. The easiest and best fix is on the player's side.

Aren't all new game pluses basically useless, since you've already beat the game? There's nothing important to achieve anymore, you just have fun with all the powerful items and abilities you already have and if you missed some areas on the maps or missed some side quests, you can now complete them. Isn't that the point of new game plus?

Did not know about the scale thing. Hmm, if that's the case then I can see NOA changing some of the more extreme outfits for all characters. Also, yeah these outfits are kind of heading towards an extreme that I'm not sure I like. I already had a problem with some of Seven's armors in XCX and a couple of Sharla's armors were just eyeroll worthy, but at least most of them seemed 'fitting' for lack of a better word. Some of these new armors just kind of pull me out of it although for most of the costumes I'm not complaining since I know I can just choose to wear something else.

Is this a thing I can do? cause if I can all of my male party members are going to be wearing bikinis at some point just because I can.

i think these clothes aren't going to be removed just from lyn, they will be removed completely from the localized version. Again, based on their recent censoring of some games, and they could even replace these outfits with new ones, like themoon said.


Maybe these outfits are seen as funny and silly on japan, but here people will have a problem with them, so why not replace them with silly costumes that would appeal to us?

Yes it does, its a gigantic massive difference.

The difference between any character being able to wear any outfit, and specifically designing an outfit for a specific character is massive.

If each character had their own unique outfits like swimsuits, and lyns character specific outfit was pasties and a G-string, that would be a gigantic, massive, difference.

At the end of the day we still have a 13-yo with an underboob outfit. So guess I don't see this "gigantic massive difference" you're seeing.
 
There isn't a single streamer that actually tried to progress the story and/or cover as much of the map as possible? Most seem to be sticking to the starting area :/
 
And nothing should be removed from the game. I hate censoring, if anything just make it so Lyn can't equip bikini's. No reason why the older characters can't use those.

I know its not the same thing, but you guys remember this?

Its the difference between specifically making an underboob outfit for a 13-yo, and not thinking about people using outfits designed for different characters on a 13-yo.

WHich is a pretty huge difference, no matter how hard you try to push your bifurcation.
