I'm not sure if it's that I'm just starved for new music but I'm already hooked on Black Skinhead and New Slaves.

Such an actor.

The sound of Black Skinhead makes you want to fight an army by yourself. Or just go to a club and grind on chicks with no concern for rejection.

Hmm. Not feeling these so far, but I'll wait for the studio versions before passing final judgment.

I'd be happy with either a continuation of MBDF or a throwback to the now dead "Never Let Me Down" ye.

I'm sorry, this guy is not artist I fell in love with. This EmoKanye character thing has gone on for way too long. I miss the guy that made tracks like Goldigger, Champion, Touch the Sky, and New Workout Plan, where the music was witty, hilarious, and just flat out fun.

I know losing his mom and tasting the good life has changed him to some degree, but I think this will be the first Kanye album I skip. This stuff just wanna makes you jump off a bridge, not unlike the effect that movie "Precious" had on me. Dude needs to smell the roses, he's a millionaire connected to one of the most beautiful women in the world who's carrying his first child. As a father-to-be myself, I haven't been happier, and Yeezus isn't going to kill my vibe.

Come home Kanye, come home... :-/

Just because he has all that doesn't mean he doesn't have demons, and those demons are what made MBDTF great.

Secondly, why do you want him to keep making the same music? Hes in a totally different state of mind, point in life, etc. His music should reflect where HE is, not where his fans want him to be.

I miss Fun yeezy, I'm not going to mix on that opinion, but artists grow as the rest of us, and their music should reflect that. If it didn't, I'd honestly see it more as a product independent of the person whose name is on the lp's spine, and that's just being the Mcdonalds of the music game. Or One Direction.

Gotta say I'm worried Black Skinhead's CDQ won't be as intense as his live performance. When he debuts music live, it often sounds better than the studio version, and with something so raw I can't help but feel this'll be the case again. I hope I'm wrong though.

I dunno if it's been confirmed for Yeezus but Yeezy recently played a track called, So Awesome. Pretty sure it's about kim k.

The performance of New Slaves sounded so much worse than the rips of the showings that were happening the other night. Gimme dat CDQ of both, but I need Black Skinheads Nooooooow

Yeah all the greats like Pac, Jay, LL, Nas, Cube, Big, etc. all did a complete 180 in their lyrical content and vibe... LOL!

Look at the first 3 Ye albums vs his last two and it sounds like a completely different guy, and not for the better either. Compare Hey Mama to Pinnochio Story... Nuff said.

I wasn't talking about rappers.

The Beatles switched their style.

The Beach Boys switched their style.

Stevie Wonder switched his style.

Michael Jackson switched his style.

Miles Davis switched his style.

LL isn't relevant anymore...guess he should have switched his style
Jay is basically biting the fuck outta Kanye's entire swag...and look he's still relevant!
Nas? My favorite rapper, but dude is about as relevant as Tyga
Cube? Craig ain't relevant either.

Great artists who want to be relevant switch their styles.

That's the thing though, I don't think this music reflects where he is, it feels like a contrived marketing gimmick. Compare his flow and lyrical cotent on Watch the Throne vs 808s and MBDTF, it was much more vintage Kanye and even optimistic at times.

And lets be real, how tormented and depressed can you really be smashing Kim K on the regular. That shit just doesn't compute.

Any artist that sticks around long enough will become irrelevant, we have seen this time and time again.

We have different definitions of what makes an artist great. I prefer authenticity over transparent gimmicks any day of the week. Sales numbers don't define greatness, otherwise Eminem is the GOAT, which is ludicrous.

Kanye West is a different person.

Dude, you have 3 albums of happy Kanye already, times change, please change, music changes. Kanye's musical creatively had increased even more by every album release.

I don't think Ye's first three albums are that similar. College Dropout and Late Registration you could probably make a strong argument for, but Graduation is so different.
