alright, i've been keeping my eye's on these damn screens for months now. they were $130 in november. in december they dropped to $64. i thought, hey, good deal, but i was broke.

then $54, and just yesterday, $18.98. i'm hearing some reports with stores that have them as low as $15. (and some stores who havent dropped at all. WTF)

still, with $15 bucks in wires from radio shack, it's a great little screen

Great price...too bad not in Europe. Hey, could you do me a favor and make a little video of that screen in motion? I always wanted to see the quality of them in motion. Maybe I'll buy one for 30-40€.

camcorder AV cable. and some male/female converters will allow you too hook up to any composite connection

i'll see what i can do about coming up with a video. my digi-cam is pretty dinky
 
I called a local Toys r us and they have it clearenced to fifty......Im getting it....maybe it will ring up at 20 but 50 is still good enough to warrent a purchase imo. Will it fit on a pstwo?

No, it won't. You can't even make use of the direct plug in without the PSX/PS2 "guncon" accessory that lets you hook in AV and RF cables together (forgot the part number), and you get a green/black picture when you do that, which is why you have to buy more cables from places like Radio Shack.

I'm still waiting for a "PStwo" screen myself.

What about getting power to the unit ? IIRC it used the psone's power supply.

Even if you switch the video output from Component to RGB in the PS2's system config?

No, it will work correctly in RGB mode. Picture is nice in RGB mode but there's not really a good way to prop the screen up if you have it connected to your PS2 like that...

Actually, it comes with a replacement power supply since the original PSOne supply doesn't output enough juice to run both the console and the screen.
 
son of a bitch! I just sold my old japanese psone! I could have got a second screen and installed it in the bathroom I mean the den :(
 
this is also going to drive ebay prices down. i know i picked up an extra to throw on ebay. (if no one bids, i can just return it to work, heh) :lol

how can i tell it's already on ebay coming from TRU?

Be warned though, I'm going to go check the one in Thornhill first, since it's closest to me. Plus, I'm up to my ears in school work and such, so I have no idea when I'll actually get around to doing this. Although, I have made a sticky-note.
 
They are gone at one TRU near me, the other has a few left the guy put them on hold for me gonna grab 2@ $35 each, not a bad beal at all

you wouldn't be abusing your position to make a profit, would you? :) I was told this was a VERY BAD IDEA when I worked there. THEY WILL FIND YOU is what was intimated. I made so much money selling Hot Wheels Treasure Hunts, McFarlane repaints, etc. that I really miss working there.

Why not get the Intec Game Cube screen? No mess of wires and plugs comfortably into the GC's plastic handle for easy folding/unfolding. Plus it uses the same power source as the GC and comes with a car adaptor. It also has inputs for any composite cables to be plugged in and IIRC comes with the cord you need to do so. :)

since we have like, 8 more at work, i suppose i COULD, but honestly, if i can sell 1 for 40, i just covered the cost's of buying one for myself. thats all

edit: HOLY SHIT IT ALREADY SOLD. i had it at buy it now for 34.99. the auction was only up for 2 hours. JESUS. hahahaha.

and thus ends my ebaying

I'm talking about the only good Intec screen that was made. Not the crappy Innovation screen that was also sold by them, but the good first model release. The GC screen was the only good screen they made IMO, especially since like the PSone screen it uses the same power source.
 
No screens at my Toys R Us. I may have to stop by again tomorrow though to pick up a couple Twin Snakes strategy guides, I believe they're a penny

edit: doh, guess it's only a penny at best buy

Looks like one of those book holder ... things. Oh, and that wasn't Lyte Edge, it was heavy liquid who posted the pics.

Well, $20.98 each in the TRU computer. As you can see, still $34.99 on the box. The TRU lady didn't believe me, I had to convince her to open the case and at least ring it up. I owned her ass alright. Grabbed two. One will be used for my GC so I can put that on top of my mini fridge next to my bed. Sweet. :D The other I'm thinking about either putting on eBay...OR, ripping out of the housing and custom installing in my car dash. Hell, I gotta see if I can't maybe make a few bucks on eBay. But then again, when will I ever get a cheapass lcd like this? BTW, please tell me I can get a progressive picture out of this. PEACE.
