I think its both fake and real.

Its real in the sense that it is a real photograph but fake in the sense that it isn't a real PS3 controller he is holding. It looks like he printed off a photo of a PS3 controller, slapped it on some cardboard or something and took a picture.

This looks like a guy printed out a photo of the PS3 controller, cut it out and took a photo with his crappy webcam in a dimly lit to make it hard to see with any clarity. Also, the way he's holding it looks incredibly loose.
