Your computer starts making strange noises. What do you do?

Buzzing, humming, scratching, high-pitched whining noises... what do you usually do to address these signifiers of potential problems?

I usually just give it a solid nudge with the palm of my hand and it stops making those noises.

My computer does it whenever I boot up. Actually my last three computers have done it, but it stops pretty quickly. Apparently I need to oil my fans, but I can't be bothered it's no big deal. I've built other computers that haven't done it, so i've got no concern it's any fault of my own. Bloody stock fans. Thinking of moving to water cooling anyway.

It happens to mine a lot when the DVD drive kicks into gear. I haven't got it screwed into place, so it begins to reverberate slightly. Like I said, a solid nudge usually stops it though. That's not always what causes the noises though. Having the inside of my computer completely exposed doesn't help I guess. I should probably put the side covers back on.

Yeah, every so often I go in there with a vacuum cleaner (with a narrow nozzle attachment) and suck out as much dust as I can. Btw, it's already opened up. It's always opened up.
