If your house/apartment was burning to the ground, infested with zombies and death rayed by aliens and you only had time to save one game related item or game, what would it be?

I'm going with my Panzer Dragoon Saga game strictly on its coolness level.

Probably my picture of Link autographed by Miyamoto...although I do have a few rare games that would be making me think twice.

Probably this, only becuase it would be the hardest and most expensive to reacquire (I don't have a ton of rare stuff obviously)

If I could grab an object, it would defintely be my case of SNES games, which has a bunch of awesome stuff and probably is my favorite collection of games for any system.

I could take them. Maybe not S-rank them, but I could take them.

Talking PaRappa the Rapper plushie ftw. There was a point in time where my girlfriend and I just trolled him everywhere~

Now he just chills at my work desk :D

It's not worth the most, but I'd never be without my copy of Rez.

I'd also risk horrible burns to my face to keep my Gitaroo Man safe.

Mine would be my Resident Evil collection, so hopefully the zombies would help me take on the aliens.

However a collection doesn't fall under one game related item or game, it would probably be Ocarina of Time as it was the best birthday present a 14 year old could have. Also helped no one else in my year could get it for a few weeks later so my cred went way up! (I was sure I got mine on 5th of Dec in the UK but Wiki and GameFaqs say it was released later...)

I have a pretty sweet neon Nintendo sign. It's an old school one with White Nintendo letters and a red ring around them. Probable about 5 wide and 1-2 feet high. My wife got it for me as a B-day present, she found it in the back of a pawn shop. I've often wondered what its worth, as she got it pretty cheap but I'm sure I could sell it to a rabid fanboy for a few bucks.

First thing that came to my mind = Starcraft. But obviously after thinking about it for a minute I'd go with something old/rare so I could sell it for some good money and then just buy other games back! Sooo Chrono Trigger or somethin.

I don't think I have any. As far as console games go, I end up either selling or giving them to my brother-in-law. PC games are another story. I never sell my PC games so I've got crap like the original King's Quest II on 5.25" diskettes floating around. :lol

Magic Carpet, Dragon Lore, and Ultima VII = tasty

edit: I've been trying to track down Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen for PC for like that last two years. It's a real bitch to find.

Err... if I had time to grab my copies of Pokemon Emerald, Fire Red, and Leaf Green in the same case (those three-game plastic cartridges made by ALS Industries), then just because of the location and the compactness, I'd also have time to grab my copies of Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire, Mario Tennis, FFIV, Tactics Ogre, Fire Emblem 7, FE8, Advance Wars 2, Zelda: TMC, Metroid ZM, Kirby, and several others. They could all fit in my hand with one movement, so yeah.

...Which is yet another reason ALS really needs to get around to making compact hard plastic cases for DS games. I'd buy them, anyway.

JetJevons REALLY needs to contribute to this thread... ;-)

[note: his home DID burn down and he lost most of the games already in this thread. There's a photo of him holding a length of Game CDs melted together like an accordion, including a shitload of Treasure games and Jap PSOne and Saturn stuff]

Ouch.

When I was going to a different college my next-door neighbor had his place broken into and he had over 300 videogames stolen while he was at class. I couldn't believe how devestated he was. The crazy thing was is that I told him about a week earlier that he should leave his collection at home and only bring the games he plays regularly to college. I'm thinking one of his roommates had to be in on stealing the stuff because it would take quite the effort to steal 300 games from a 3rd floor in an apartment complex. A common break-in wouldn't have been able to haul out that much stuff. He lost like 4 consoles and a laptop too in the theft too.

The autgraphed biography card that Hideo Kojima signed when I met him at E3 in 2001. You can see it at my web page on 1up.com.

A copy of Hatris for the Gameboy autographed twice by Alexei Pajitnov over a span of 11 years, once after meeting him as a kid and the second time when working down the hall from him.

Probably my hori DS pouch

It contains my black DS with all the games.
I always sell my consoles when the generation is over anyway, so i'd let them burn..

There's not too much that I consider "must save" material...maybe my fliptopped PS2, I dunno. Or the autographed copy of Power Up by Chris Kohler where he calls me a dirty scamming fuck.

To Matlock!

You cheap bastard.
Couldn't just buy the book, huh?
Gotta scam a free one off kids
with cancer? Fuck.

Chris Kohler.

*glares at renvi* What's your address? :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

j/k

Anyway, Either my Biohazard 5th Anniversary Package, biohazard Collector's Box or Panasonic Q.

I have Sin & Punishment.

But I dont' know if it would be the one item I would save from a fire, since I have never played it due to the fact that I need a special adapter to play it on my PAL-N64 :<

I have a bunch including many Saturn and Dreamcast imports. Too lazy to take pics of them but here is a pic I posted earlier of some of my loved games.

I have the entire Panzer Dragoon trilogy on the Saturn, of which Saga is the crown jewel. So I'm right there with you.

After that, Landstalker on the Genesis and Popful Mail on the Sega-CD.

Flinstones II mint/complete on NES before I sold it lol

Now, Biohazard Collectors Box with virtually every RE related piece of merchandise available, seriously

or factory sealed Zelda OOT (Collectors Edition, first shipment etc)

If you cut the tabs off the back of the cart you don't. Thats all I did to mine. Works great sans adapter.

I actually bought a RE:DC sealed off the internet a year ago and opened it to play it. I don't know why people keep games sealed.
