Your WoW character brought to life (kinda)

My least favourite thing about WoW is how outrageous your character has to look to have good stats, especially on the higher level. Made me miss the simplicity of Ultima Online where you could put on an armor and toss a robe over it. In WoW you just look too ridiculous with good gear. You should be able to customize what your gear looks like. Of course if there is something like that now, I wouldn't know. Been out of WoW for about a year.

So in short, I wouldn't want the monstrosity that is my character.

Everyone thinks I'm crazy because I said the exact same thing. You look liked a fucked up super hero half the time. I really appreciate the sets that are just more subtle in tone/design.

I quit WoW over a year ago..

but I wouldn't mind buying a full Trans dwarf priest with Corn Staff in honor of his memory! Oh Kil'Jaeden I miss you so.

I absolutely hate "tiered" armor. It means that you either end up looking like a total missmatch of armor pieces, or you look like everyone else of similar class/level.

What I'd like to see is a very wide variety of armor pieces and types, but every one of them starts out with the exact same stats and abilities. (aka none) Then, instead of being on the hunt for new armor, you're on the hunt for things to upgrade your current armor, or new pieces that are more of the style that you want. You are in complete control of how you look, and you can keep your favorite armor forever because you're making it better and stronger as you grow better and stronger.

Do the same thing with weapons, of course. Especially with a game as big as WoW, personality should be top priority, so all of those times having armor or weapons that I can't stand the look of just because they're proper for my current level really suck.

The only problem I can see with this is that the figurine is basically a snapshot in time of your character and hard-core players (presumably a large part of the intended market for these) are constantly upgrading their gear so in a year or less you'll be stuck with a figurine wearing gear you'd be embarrassed to be seen in in-game.

I guess then it's just time to buy a new figurine! $$$$$$$

I still dream of WoW over a year after I quit. Is this how former heroine addicts feel for the rest of their lives?

In other words, Guild Wars armor.

That's pretty neat, I guess. I'd probably rather have a figure of a decently and attractively geared character than the ugly mish-mash of gear that my pally had when I last saw him.

Ok, wtf, they take some random gear, and this gnome has exactly same weapons and shoulders as my char?
Creepy.
And, even though my belf chick is hawt, i wont pay $100 for figurine ._.

Where does it say it's $100?

For half that price, I'm there. Heck, I'd get two. For $100, I'd have to think long and hard about it. I do have a set of stuff for my warrior that I wear when not fighting, and I'd love to have a hard copy. Then I could gear up my hunter and buy another one once my finances have recovered...

This is so funny because I feel the same way. It's been about one year for me too and I miss my gnome warlock. I've considered turning a screenshot of him into a huge framed picture. I like the idea of having my own figurine. Probably pretty expensive though.

100 doesnt seem bad when you look at the price of that diorama theyre offering on the WoW front page.

Of course I'd never ever buy something like this anymore, but by compare i mean. :p

The diorama is of better quality to say the least.

Add another one of the 1 year former Wow addicts who still miss their character. :lol

I want one...I wonder if this is the same service Dell is using with those new laptops. Since the release dates are both December 11th, I'd say "yes".

Customers will also receive a Quest Envelope which includes surprise items from Dell & Blizzard (ships separate from system). Items include:
Blizzard beta key card w/ five keys used to access future WoW games
An upgrade certificate which allows customers to upgrade their accounts to a "Collectors Edition Account" enabling them to get a special in-game pet
Golden Ticket which allows customers to get a pre-paid special custom action figure based on their own in-game WoW character.

If I got a ticket, I'd have an orc in a mooncloth robe and a pink hat or something done

Basically ,itd just be as far from serious as possible. I would make the ugliest fucking doll ever

holy shit, I find it an amazing idea. Might very well order a Mage in memoriam of my character, models look fantastic

and loved my uber gear, even if it looked ridiculous

the problem is everyone looks the fuckin same because theres so little player customisation. Armor changes a little but all looks dull unless you have an elite item, all the faces look the same. Thats my biggest dissapointment with WoW.

Can they do poses?

WOW that's beautiful!

I might pick one up as a snapshot of my character just before I quit (for the record, I'm playing again).

$100 is cheap for something that has a lot of emotions associated with it. I'm getting it.

Those look really good considering that massive amount of combinations that will be in those orders.

I really like this idea, but no way in hell would I pay $100 for it.

Quit WoW a solid 8 months ago, but these are still rather interesting. Not to mention my UD lock would look pretty leet.

It almost wants me to reactivate my account to gear up some more before I buy one, but that's what they want you to think.

This?

Wonder if I can get them to have my character wielding the TF 2 handed. Or does it have to be a pose only created in game?

Why do they have this paladin looking like he's about to charge in and start tanking? If anything he should just be standing with his legs apart and one hand above his head and the other in front of him, ready to cast the 50th of 1000 Flashes of Light, especially given he's got a nice healing mace and shield there.

That would be the Paladin watching the (insert class here) he was just fighting run away without a chance of being caught.
