198 views thus far, 4 ratings...and I consider this one of the best user created videos on YouTube!

Now, I know that by posting this I've destroyed the perfect 5 star rating it had...but it's too good not to share.

I have to congratulate GAF.

As stated at the time there were 198 views. That has jumped to 6840 views. It had a perfect 5 star rating via 4 ratings. Now it has a 4 Star rating as a result of 149 votes.

But what has impressed me about GAF was the dialogue and chit chat in the comments. Typically YouTube comments are some of the stupidest things you can read on the internet, besides say, postings on GAF by plovie, and so I was very surprised to see the sort of discourse that I did in the comments. Bravo.

Came across this on twitter. This guy mixes random youtube clips to make full songs. Definitely worth checking out a couple at least. Click credits whilst a video is playing to get links to the original clips used.

20th Century Fox and two other companies from Hollywood contact dutch student Tim Smit from Nijmegen because of short movie on Youtube:

What's in the Box? - Test Film 2009

It's clearly inspired by Half Life 2 and it has some pretty good special effects, especially considering the fact that it's made by a student of Nature Sciences and not by a film school student.

I see an AE composite of Trapcode Particular (the smoke) and 3ds max models (the aircraft, the asphalt chunks etc.) accompanied by some really neat motion tracking. And the score sounds somehow familiar...;). Anyways, really really good work for a student of nature sciences.

Doing my usual thing last night and drinking obnoxious volumes of alcohol whilst browsing youtube, I stumbled upon this very awesome gem.

usually, I lose some of my enthusiasm for new things I discover while drunk the morning after. seriously tho, I just woke up, bitched and moaned about my hangover, then immediately put the video back on.
