Just looking way back at this thread about Naka's departure from Sega, people were thinking he was making NiGHTS 2 for Wii.

Turns out we got that, PLUS the next best thing from Naka himself anyway!

Now just imagine if Rodea actually was NiGHTS 3? Nice to dream *ahem*.

Nah, it's a nice, unique platformer. Definitely go for the Wii version if you decide to give it a go (which you should).

Pretty much hints that XSEED would be at least a first pick, and they've been great on the Wii so far, though I wondered if XSEED said something similar? Maybe it was just Naka's quote I remembered.

I don't recall any significant Wii/PSP games, apart from the usual multiplatform stuff. Besides, I said I hope it becomes a trend, doesn't mean it will.

The game started development in Fall 2009, and it was confirmed IIRC that these are Wii shots. Plus the shots are in 4:3. The 3DS is 16:10.

Plus, the cursor movement is pretty fluid. Who knows if there's a visible cursor on the 3DS version, though.

None of what they're showing so far is from the 3DS version. All the articles and the trailer have notices that say the footage and screens are from the Wii version.
