Zoonami: New rumours

I was all hyped for Zoonami when I first heard of them, but like RARE they are taking thier sweet ass time getting ANYTHING out the damn gate.

Zoonami: 7 members
Rare: more than 200

Zoonami seems to release this year Funkydilla, more will come in the following years. Last year they finished recruiting.

Unlike Rare though, it's a staff of 10 rather than 300.

Let's nip this in the bud before we start a British Silicon Knights fascination.

300 lazy mis-managed devs VS 6 devs and the guy that made Goldeneye what it is... who will win?

Read the articles on that website and you will (maybe) understand their system...

maybe? I don't need to read their website to understand that this generation is a waste. Game Zero, yeah I believe it when I see it.

wtf, they expect to do something major with 7 members only? Why so few.

Well, had you read their website or the articles on zootopia.de.vu, you would have known that their core team, which consists of only 7 members indeed, is mainly responsible for concept and prototypes (they have an incubator system for original game ideas) while a whole bunch of external contractors is hired for the actual production process. Not bad, eh?

Also, I don't understand how anybody can complain that Zoonami won't show too much this generation. There's at the very least the release of Funkydilla later this year. Plus, Zoonami did never say they were going to release more than that. Rare, in contrast, promised five games within two years and delivered one. The problem is that some sites like IGN just hyped (and still hype) Zoonami beyond proportions. Not Zoonami's fault, though.

There's actually more to Zoonami than that contractor system. I'm not sure though, is that Zombie-game Wideload's only game in development? If so, their entire team seems to focus all efforts on one project whereas Zoonami, using often only one or two people for conception, later adding another two for prototype stages, has multiple projects in the works (four, acutally).
