'Zootopia 2' Sets Fall 2025 Release Date

"Zootopia 2" unleashed a box office stampede as Disney's animated sequel raced to $556 million in its global debut.

Those ticket sales rank as the fourth-highest global debut of all time after "Avengers: Endgame," "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Spider-Man: No Way Home," putting the family-friendly adventure in elite company at the box office. After all, "Endgame" and "Infinity War" eventually surpassed $2 billion globally while "No Way Home" got incredibly close with $1.9 billion. "Zootopia 2," which earned a staggering $400 million internationally and $156 million domestically, set several other opening weekend records, including the largest global and international animated launch in history as well as the biggest worldwide start of any 2025 release.

First one was great. I will see this but I don't think it will live up to the first one. Current day Disney isn't directly a hallmark for quality anymore.

It was okay, sometimes there was some fun stuff, but overall plot was bit lackluster.
Yup, very predicable plot. Some filler musical content like the first one. Some of the "inside adult jokes" was hit and miss. I didn't expect the "the shining" joke, but it worked.
What will the next movie be? Probably the fish uprising, they are still getting killed and eaten.

Loved the first. Didn't realise this was due the year, but also lost a lot of interest in Disney's output so maybe ignored it.

May have to check it out.

Zootopia 2 is freaking awesome!

I liked the story, plenty of new and likeable and absolutely hilarious characters/animals and definitely on par with the first one, if not even a bit funnier because I laughed my ass off at plenty scènes

Next to all the crap Disney sadly manages to release there's also great stuff like this. No forced shit in this which is .... almost a miracle.

Gonna have to watch this soon, loved the first one but wasn't expecting this one to be half as good.

The impressions in this thread and from people I've talked to makes this sound like a home run.
