I'm pretty pumped for MLB The Show on the PS4.
I've only played it on the PSP the past few years.
ANd yes, CC is definitely thinner in that tweet.
I just hope Ryan Howard is thinner this year too! Dude was putting on the pounds with a bad ankle last year.

PS3 port BUT with more shizzle...
1. UGC works with PS3...
a) Can publish your own levels.
b) Can play levels that already exist on PS3.
c) So players CAN create and share on VITA then play on PS3 (once PS3 update is completed).
2. Extra ship added.
a) We have added the 3rd ship from the PSP version. This ship has an anti-gravity device installed, meaning you canÂ’t plummet to your death my letting go of the stick.
b) We have re-organised the ship selection layout, left to right = easy to hard.
3. Graphical Changes
a) Particles x millions. We've overhauled the particle system.
b) Other VFX improved. We've gone over all VFX and improved for performance and look.
c) Landscape fill, as now rocky (perhaps still not final) as opposed to swirly. Lighting effects now affect landscape and make it look more alive.
d) Debris particles now share the same colour as the landscape. On PS3 they were only ever "orange".
e) Have added a pseudo 3D effect by utilising the gyro in the VITA.
As well as some other re-design stuff

Oh wait...iirc it was mentioned that the US Press event for the game is on the 10th too. I believe the embargo is on the 14th or something
I bought an earlier edition, like MLB 11, and it was hard as hell. Have they made the hitting controls any easier? I would love to pick up the new PS4 edition, Cabrera on the cover is icing on the cake, but that game was hard as hell to hit anything.
Embargo is up the 18th or 19th. Conflicting reports.

We know that Sony is prepping up some of their marketing machine for Second Son, since they were filming a commercial recently, but they've been silent so far... Better rev that up, Sony.

yeah they definitely should go all out with infamous SS. It will help keep them sustain the momentum they have right now

They've toned it down a bit in MLB 13 (and I'd assume MLB 14). They introduced difficulty sliders so if you're great at everything in the game but hitting, you can just turn down the hitting difficulty so things work out better for you.
The difficulty supposedly also ramps up with you as you get better at timing your swings.
It's still hard as hell, but in real life, it's a task where the best people in the world fail roughly 70% of the time, so it's not supposed to be easy either.

There are other Vita games at the event, just by 3rd party publishers. We were told to check with the 3rd party PR reps on-site on their specific embargoes.
