Nintendo Direct Feb 13, 2014 Thread | 3DS/Wii U Spring games

41 minutes... oh my. There should be SOMETHING good in that..

I'm allready angry at the thought of them being thickheaded again and completely fucking this thing up and wasting our time. But i'll watch.

What makes me skeptical is that they say the Direct will focus on titles launching by the end of spring. So unless they have some surprises, most games have been announced.

If only we got a Metroid game announcement....

You must be new to Directs and their definition of focus.

In reality we're going to get Pokemon Dash 3D and Pokemon Dash U

I'd be happy with that, so long as it didn't use the stylus.

The races in the original PokéPark had me salivating about what Dash could have been

My hopes, some realistic others outlandish:

Mario Kart 8 date & details
New Super Smash Bros character: Mewtwo, Cranky Kong or Captain Toad :p
X trailer
Bayonetta 2 date
Hyrule Warriors details
Sonic Lost World: Zelda DLC
A few 3DS game announcements
eShop titles to fill the gap between DKC and Mario Kart such as "The Adventures of Captain Toad"
Pokémon Spin-off for Wii U: PokéPark U or Pokkén.
Pokémon Trozei 3DS - Available after this Direct
Wii U Indie title reel.
One last thing: Surprise announcement of a Nintendo IP: Ice Climbers x StarFox

Eh, I can't see them announcing two Pokemon spin-offs in one direct....and that surprise announcement is just too far out there.

Sounds realistic except for IC x SF :P

That is a LONG Direct.

Guys, not sure if posted but Sakurai's Miiverse comment:

Sakurai said:
Pic of the day. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day...and the day the new Nintendo Direct airs! It will stream in Japan at 7 AM so it's going to be a very early morning for us...!

Something newww is coommiinngggg.

As if the smash thread didn't already have me hyped enough, I gotta check this one right before bed and find out how long t's going to be.

Thanks for my ticket aboard the hype train

My expectations are not unrealistic:

a new trailer for X

that's it. Enough to satisfy me. For all I care, it can be 41 mins long.

My hopes are slightly bigger:

confirmation that SMT x FE still exists
Bayonetta 2 info
Kid Icarus Uprising HD
Dragon Quest VII localisation
Fire Emblem Awakening 3DS sequel
plus a surprise!

I would pay a bunch of Nintendo Coins for a Metroid Hat.

I mean, seriously. We have Headcrab hats.. but a Metroid hat would be better. Especially if it made the noise from Super Metroid when you squeezed it.

Realistically I'm expecting Kirby, Smash character, DKTF trailer, Layton x AA NA date, Mario Kart trailer, Tomodachi Collection announcement, and maybe a random localization announcement. Probably an indie games trailer and something that shows off Shovel Knight platform exclusive stuff.

Maybe 1 NES Remix-style announcement.

Anything more will just be boner-riffic.

41 minutes eh? That's great but I won't underestimate their time wasting skills. I WANT Bayonetta and X but I'll expect neither. Maybe some kind of Pokemon release? Smash Bros and Mario Kart have to be in it, with some new surprises.

I should be expecting more since this is crisis time, but I'm not getting my hopes up just yet.

You guys know they're just going to "announce" details of stuff they've already announced right.

I agree, there´ll likely also be a surprise but the big announcements will be made at E3 and TGS. Also last years January direct was focused on a single system while this one will cover WiiU and 3DS.

Do you know what this means? This means that the 41 minute-long Direct may be the LONGEST NINTENDO DIRECT NINTENDO HAS EVER DONE.

Nintendo Directs are the best thing to happen to Neogaf forever. The hype, the unexpectedness, the excitement, the passion.

I can't believe someone actually has the minutes of all the directs!
