slamtastic you are killing me

now that's always gonna bug me about Xrd, that can't be right ugh what the fuck is going on

Still no PSN Melty. :(
Oh man, if you get me started about this I'm going to start throwing stuff at the wall. Only one of two games to be at Evo and to never get an international release (the other being GG/). fffffffffffghrhethgrehethtedhgfdgfdg

I have more hope for UNIEL as that's French Bread's own IP, which makes licensing the game way easier.

That may be an issue due to them having to make the models work in both 16:9 and 4:3. With next-gen, hopefully they're able to just abandon 4:3.

Good eye, though. It really does look like they're going 4:3 native and stretching it out.

Aren't you guys bored with SF4? Its been the same shit for 5 years now.

Like come the hell on Capcom. Its time to move on.

they need to announce some new shit

also ultra should have been slated for release a few months earlier than it is.

fkn capcom

I want the days since it released on 360 to count up so the Arcsys shame can increase with time.
As much as wanting to play ACR because it's awesome and well awesome, all it will do in the long run will negate your hype a bit on Xrd due to the game being toned back down to reload speeds

I mean... no?

The cast doubled in 2010, the balance and tier list changed completely in 2011 (along with 4 new characters) and now we're watching the last days of the most balanced SF game since Hyper Fighting. In June we get 5 new characters and a mess of new mechanics.

SFV will come, and I hope it goes the same basic way. Don't need a new game every few years, just an update.

ready for anime

Joseph pls
Still no PSN Melty. :(
I'd buy a PSN Melty port

speaking of PSN and fighters
and nice things we can't have
, I've come to accepting that US PS3 will just not get +R on it. Just not gonna happen, no sir not at all.

Oh well, at least I have my Vita I guess
with no online :(

People don't want to play 2D games with sprites unless it's some pixelart indie thing, and I bet pretty soon every anime will be 3D rendered and cel-shaded (not just the mechas/cars).

Not just GG, but all Anime will be Unreal Engine in the future.

That said, I hope Capcom never does their planned Darkstalkers 2.5D game. So much of that game's charm and aesthetic was based on its sprite animation and while SF's characters are simple and straightforward enough to survive even SF4's visual style, Darkstalkers characters will probably look awful in 3D.

I'm surprised we're not already there.

Capcom can replicate Darkstalkers in 3D with today's technology, but I'm not confident in the amount of effort they would put into it.

Doesn't Sony want all PSN games to have somewhat of a makeover to look HD?

If not, makes me wonder why all the XBL SNK titles never released on PSN.
Sony, especially SCEA earlier on in the generation was super twitchy about ports like that, where they wouldn't approve games that looked like straight PS2/PSP ports.

I think now Sony would be more willing to let it slide, with their indie push and the whole retro look being more commonplace now, but it's a question of priorities for the developers.

Oh we anime now?

I saw Gundam Build Fighters (up until the most current one) and its good shit. Last few episodes were godly tier, the battles were great. This show has more quality animation work than most of the recent mainline Gundams. Better pacing and less BS in between too, also extremely meta like the theory craft Gundam battles they had one time... I LOL'd!

The only thing I don't like is the magical red hair kid out of nowhere who can pilot Gundams better than experienced pilots do the first time he touches them. Something tell me this show is less sci fi and more fantasy but we'll see.

My character is finally going to be top tier. What do you think lol? I'm foaming at the mouth for Ultra. But to be a little more serious, no I'm not bored. I still put tons of time into this game every week and am really excited about Ultra. I plan on attending local tournaments again because of that game.

Doesn't mean that I don't want a new SF though. I really hope they're working on it and I think announcing it late this year or sometime next year with a 2016 release would be ideal. For now, let SF4 continue to shine because it has not slowed down much if at all after all these years.

I did as well, and yeah, I IMMEDIATELY thought of you when they do the intense theory fighting battles hahaha

I think the show is just waiting to go into space after the world championships are over after they the secret of the kapersky (or w/e) particles is revealed.

New episode today and I'm hype.

Best thing about SF has to be high level play footsies and reads. I was pretty invested in SF4 until Marvel came out, which made it look a bit stale. Even though I appreciate the neutral game in SF, I am surprised people are not tired of the engine after five years.

I guess I'll watch Gundam build fighters since it's so highly recommended. I'm really sour on Gundam right now because of the second season of 00 (ugh), the 00 movie (UGH!), and every Unicorn ep being an hour of dumb emo nonsense but having Char show up at the beginning and end of the episode so we'll buy the next release. I saw 1 ep of Gundam AGE and saw no reason to hurt myself again.

Now that they've done "remakes" of OG Gundam (SEED, or so I'm told) and Gundam Wing (00), when's the G Gundam remake? I want racism and manliness in my Gundam.

Capcom can replicate Darkstalkers in 3D with today's technology, but I'm not confident in the amount of effort they would put into it.

It would take a lot of really advanced technology for the deformations and transformations, plus a lot of creativity to interpret existing characters and to add new characters that live up to the standard, and a lot of hard work and polish to make it look good. Capcom has maybe the technology, but definitely not the other 2. I guess seeing the sort of stuff Pixar can do with 3D models it's not out of the question for 3D DS to look okay, but if Capcom had that sort of talent and technology at their disposal they'd use it improve their shit games instead of reviving Darkstalkers.

That's like asking if people were bored of SF2 back in 1994, just because it's been "the same shit for three years". I'm sure if you said that in the arcades the folks there would tell you to hit the bricks.

Fact of the matter is, SF4 is still super popular and will continue to be popular for years to come, regardless of how polarizing it may be in the community. Capcom made a successful formula, so they'll continue to add new additions to the formula until they have a perfect brew. Hell, even I am going to give it a shot and I stopped playing SF4 right before Arcade Edition was ported to consoles. Ultra SF4 may very well be this generation's Super Turbo*.

provided Ultra is the final version

.

Build Fighters is the successor to G Gundam. Just episode after episode of great battles and likable characters. Tournament structure means lots of variety and call backs to past series as well.
