It is the Comic Con trailer with finished/near finished effects.
Comic Con is used to start slow rolling hype. You have a receptive audience that will almost always give positive impressions and understands the nature of unfinished reels. If you get it right, you peak just before your film comes out. Dropping unfinished trailers years from release does nothing for you.
The leaked version cut off the beginning of the trailer. This was what aired at Comic Con in its entirety.

The Nova corps have humans and humanoid aliens, in fact most aliens in the Marvel Universe look human anyway. An Nova himself is of course, human (not that he's in the movie mind you)

This is literally the most interesting Marvel movie out there. Don't get me wrong, I liked the others, but they were very cookie cutter.

I know there'll be a flashier trailer coming in a few months' time, but Rocket Raccoon and Groot aside (and yes, that's a pretty big "but"), everything from the costumes to the color palette to the "alien" designs (why do characters like the Novas and Korath look completely or almost completely human?) feels a tad too grounded for a film with this source material.

Budget is the real reason, but Starlord is half Spartoi which are basically indistinguishable from humans. "Pink" Kree are basically white people as well. I'm not sure about the MCU but Starlord is not even close to the only human in space in the comics.
