Thrown in the ocean immediately to make room for MissingNo.

It'll be impossible to do the missingno glitch, we'd have to talk to the dude, then access the menu to fly, fly to the islands, then surf, then not move away from the coast. It would be impossible with the trolls

I was wondering if it might be like that. Would explain why we've stuck with anarchy so long this time around, where before it was wavering back and forth fairly quickly.

If that's the case, we might never switch back to anarchy if we ever hit democracy again. :/

Yeah we will. the chat is decidedly more anarchist. Plus while democracy makes movement past tough obstacles faster, anarchy is immediately spammed whenever we start battling.

X and Y or black / white 2.

I recommend x and y since its newer and you won't feel that you are missing any plot (as minimum the plot for a Pokemon game is , b2 w2 is a sequel)

Seems reasonnable, I guess.

Get X or Y or Black 2 or White 2. Lots of new Pokemon, plenty of old ones. They're rather easy, but you can put self enforced challenge rules to fix that.

It's too bad you stopped at Diamond, because its "tweaked remake" (Ala Yellow, Crystal, Emerald) Platinum fixed a lot of its design flaws. You already played Diamond though, so it won't provide a new world.

Yeah, It never really crossed my mind to play what you call the "tweaked remake", because it's nothing really new, in the end. I did start with Yellow, though.

i sort of agree, the color sort of feels missing in XY and the overworld seems kind of lowpoly in ways, meanwhile the DS games's 2.5D direction looks pretty hideous for sprites with the weird stretching and whatnot. i feel gen 3 was the last time a pokemon game had such great visuals.

also i recommend HG/SS or X/Y, personally my favorite is GSC... so I say HGSS! theyre both great games either way!

I'll probably look at what's new on Heartgold/SoulSilver, but yeah, I dont feel like playing a game I've already done.

X/Y, faster play, better Pokemon encounter rate, ton of variety, fresh changes, best looking since gen 3, etc. Need I say more.

Don't really need to say more, but a couple of things put me off. For example, and however weird this might seem, the removal of the grid system bums me out.

Thank you all for the answers. I'll be honest, I expected my message to be scrolled over in this chaotic crowd. :p

So how long do we give Omanyte to live after acquiring it?

Forever, I know that's not really the end of the game but I think it should be the end of the run. Plus even if we release it immediately then we have just allowed a god to roam free and seek out the evil it must battle, free from our restricting commands.

Other than over coming ledge two on the way to victory road I'm not sure a greater ending to the run is really possible even if we made it to and beat the elite 4.

Yep, i think the system is broken. He cumulates all the votes which obviously is a really bad idea as time goes on.

I'd love for then to activate democracy, try to use the PC and fuck it up due to lag so there's nothing they can do but watch for 30 seconds as Red slowly and painfully executes a string of commands that will release Bird Jesus.

There was a point where democracy was stuck for five minutes in the switch pokemon screen, until they used a command to input every correct command to get out of the screen in one go.

The tool of cowards indeed. :U

Honestly losing Hitmonlee is the only thing that has made me really sad thus far. He would have been great. Level 30 and knows 2 moves:

Hi Jump Kick - a move that does 85 damage and has 90 accuracy. Also a recoil on misses of only 1 HP.
Meditate - a move that boosts attack.

The only other gift pokemon in the game that doesn't require any "complex" action on our part (using a stone, reviving a fossil, making it evolve) is Lapras. Truly our last hope now.

The Grid system (I'm assuming you mean 4-directional movement) is still there. Just use the D-Pad to move instead of the Circle Pad. You can now also move in 8-directions.

X/Y is still grid base, it just gives you the illusion it isn't

People should stop spamming B for something we need. Hopefully now that it has been booted up and seeing the chat reactions, those who didn't know that was the goal now know the goal.

You mean, you might never switch back to democracy if anarchy is hit again? :/

Both systems of management have their perks, switching depends on the current scenario of the game e.g. maze or battle.

It depends on both bots and the people actually voting, anarchy is far preferred.

I thought the whole point of this is to revive and set free the Helix god.

Know he must be revived for his truth purpose. He is guiding us down a path that ends with his revival. After he is back in his godly form he will lead us down victory road and be the best pokemon on our team. Once he beats the elite 4 his job will be done. Only then. PRAISE THE HELIX!
