Literally all the mechanics in the game are now against us.

- Haunter is poison so we can't poison him
- Struggle is normal type, so we can't hit him
- Enemies don't run out of PP, so he can't recoil himself to death

There's no way out. We can only watch Jesus Bird flail around now.

Don't forget we taught Cabbage Cut so it can't even damage Haunter with Absorb.

Also, Haunter's paralyzed and will take even longer to kill Bird Jesus.

God, not being able to hit Ghosts is shitty.

The chat is hilarious. "WHY THE HELL DID WE NOT TRAIN DROWZEE"

Also, it's so stupid those air attacks don't work on ghost-types. I mean, they're ghosts, blow hard enough and they just evaporate.

Well fuck. With haunter paralyzed, there's a chance it ends up doing nothing. We need it to kill us with night shade, but we've been spamming sand attack.

They should have trained in the grass. The enemies here have """manageable""" levels but the next routes have trainers with level 28~ pokémon and I'm already imagining having Pidgeot hoarding all the experience again after the tower.

One of the big problems with Gen 1. Gen 2 and onwards flying type does affect ghost.

God, watching anarchy at work is an excercise in frustration. "GODDAMMIT, DON'T CHECK THAT FUCKING SCOPE AGAIN."

It's basically like watching an episode of The Walking Dead.

I shudder to think what'll happen if we ever face a Gengar.

There's something hilarious about tens of thousands of people being stuck in an unwinnable fight, where the only move that can affect the enemy only serves to drag it out longer.

Jesus bird can tank like a boss.

We need it to die though :(

I blame chat for not letting it learn wing attack

We also should have made it learn drill peck instead of tossing it.

Even if chat managed to catch 50 pokémon, all it would is divide up the exp too thin to level anyone up. Being over-leveled is the only reason Pidgeot has been doing as well as he has.
Before the Ghost wall at any rate.

I can't believe we're still in this situation all this time later. I haven't been watching all day but it seems no progress has been made, which is surprising to me since Rocket HQ and a linear ledge make sense for things that would cause them to get stuck. This doesn't really fit in that category to me. Were they really that unaffective at leveling up other Pokes?

Also, theoretically, couldn't they have left a Pokemon in the daycare? With how many steps they take they could have easily gotten it to max level, which would be a good plan B for when Bird Jesus fails them or if they accidentally release him. And like another poster said couldn't have have just attempted to teach Jesus an actual flying move with Fly or another TM if they can get one?

Also, if all of the releases never happened we probably wouldn't even be in this situation, but I guess mistakes like that are unavoidable.

It probably has a limited move pool, are some attacks prioritized over others?
NPC trainers have random AI unfortunately. Same with wild Pokemon. Gym leaders, Giovanni, and Elite 4 have a preferential AI based on type effectiveness. This is where one of the most infamous AI exploits in RBY comes from; if you have a Poison type against Lance's Dragonite, it will only use Agility because Agility is a Psychic type move and Psychic is supereffective against Poison, even though Agility doesn't do anything.

We were warned

Once we drop something in the Day Care, it is doomed to stay there forever.

We have no money to buy it back.
