Rayman Legends on PS4 & Xbox One: Uncompressed textures, no load times

Make it £25-30 and it's bought.

Knowing Ubisoft games you won't have to wait that long. I don't understand how Ubisoft manage to make any money - they always have an absolute shitload of staff working on their games and the prices of their games always drop within a few weeks after launch.

I got the game for PS4 for £22 yesterday, I was pretty happy to say the least! :D

I've only done the first section so far, but it's a great looking game and it's really fun. This is certainly going to keep me entertained for a long while :)

Ok had a 3 hour co-op run with a friend last night

This game looks/plays/sounds just about amazing, loving it

The arcade stick is not getting recognized though, wich is pretty weird :/ (X1)

Still with this? They're good with a touchscreen :)

Yep

The Murfy levels were designed for a touchscreen and play much better that way. Those levels are pretty pointless and boring without the touch controls. Wii U or Vita version is the way to go.

I picked up the PS4 version last night. Having played the wii u version (demo and challenge app) I felt like the ps4 version was neutered by the way they handled the touch controls. The "press O "options felt extremely out of place and on many occassions the murphy indicator would not advance to the next platform in time during fast paced platforming segments. I absolutely love my ps4, but i will be switching versions of this one.

That is what we have been trying to tell people. Until you play the Murfy levels the correct way (with touch controls) then you don't know what you are missing.

I usually am not a fan of touch controls but taking them out in this case ruins the whole point of the levels and the way that they were originally designed. The Wii U and Vtia versions are superior thanks to this.

Having now played both the Wii U and PS4 versions, I completely disagree.

Controlling the character instead on those levels keeps the pace of the game up, keeps the fun, and avoids unnecessary deviations to another, inferior gameplay experience.

I felt like your opinion matched mine back when the other versions came out, but playing through the game again on the PS4 completely changed the mind.

Without playing co-op, the non-touch versions are the way to go.

I would get the wiiU version but I have more friends on ps4 and like the daily challenges + high scores so I'll buy on ps4 eventually. I did rent it on xbone and love the game but I hate the xbone controller for this game :/

Still having a good time with it!

I have it on the Vita, first Rayman game I played in 15 years, the game is so much fun and I suck at platformers. Makes me want to get a Wii-U for DKCTF.

Yeah, I really enjoy some of that stuff on the Vita. Rotating the screen to rotate the level in sections works really well. Those segments feel a little like lemmings or something as you help guide the character through the level.

It adds a satisfying bit of diversity to the game, and makes it better than just being Rayman Origins with a new artstyle. And from the GB QuickLook I saw of of the 360 version, some of the implementation of the touch stuff in there seemed kinda lacking.

Sooo I got a Wii U and a PS4, which version should I buy ? I tried the Wii U demo with a friend and if the murphy level was kind of fun, maybe it was the novelty of it...

Might be a silly question, are Murphy levels exclusive to WiiU? Or are they the ones where you move to the beat of the music? If they are they're great fun on Xbox too! I wish there were more of them.

Thank you! Unfortunate to hear about remote play.

If you've already got a Vita you might as well just get the Vita version if that was where you planned playing it anyways. Exact same game with more content/levels than any of the others. Plus it'll cost you a lot less than the next gen version right now most likely.

Just my two cents :)

No, they're the levels where you hit O/B to have the flying frog guy (Murphy) move various obstacles in the level. Seems to only be better on the touch screen versions when playing multiplayer.

Ooh those, they're fun as well, can imagine they're great with a touchscreen too tho.
