Is anyone here still playing ONLY on last-gen consoles - i.e., Xbox One or PS4, no PC?

Nope, I clean my older consoles once in a while, but I have a nephew who play on ps4 to buy newer games cheap with all their DLCs, the ps4 made him ahead of me on beating newer games.

Yes. Xbox One X, PS4 Pro and a cheap laptop. If I was younger I'd probably be all over current gen but I've been around the block and seen this movie before. Plus other interests compete for time. Posting in gaming forums is a new thing for me and it can be a good laugh.

I play Age of Mythology on PC but everything else is on PS4 or Switch. Games still look great on PS4 and lots of games I wanted were crossgen, so I didn't feel any need to upgrade.

I will probably get a PS5 this year if there's good black friday / holiday deals.

I know someone who waits for the ps5, with drive, to drop to 299 or something... I guess he'll wait until PS6 does not get that cheap either before buying a probably used PS5.

Ok, 3 more then (angelgs, poordevil, and NoBBC) for a total of 7, at least by the rules of the thread (console only, no PC).

My nephew is using my PS4 Pro daily for Fortnite and GTA V.
I'd bet this is a very common case for active old gen players, as last gen is the first one to have casual online games that are still supported, so there is no need for these players to make the jump.

I'd like to see a chart of how much the old gen players are spending on games vs current gen.

What doesn't help in general is that there are still many games releasing for last-gen. Compare that to PS360. X360 got Cars: Driven To Win in 2017, 12 years after release.

What are PS4/XBO getting 12 years after release?
  • Atomfall
  • Call Of Duty
  • Kvark (A UE5 half-life clone)
  • Splitgate 2
  • The Finals (PS4 only)
All kinds of games with far more AA on them than the gen prior had. Diminishing returns and all, PS4/XBO are still interesting enough for a lot of developers to make games for.

Yes.

And if I were a developer/publisher, I would have a hard time disregarding the install base of the PS4, 112 million. That's a lot of potential customers.
