Hatsune Miku Project Diva f launches on Vita in the west in March

$29.99 means I will buy it immediately. Though it's kind of weird that there's no mention of the songs that came with the PS3 version. I had $40 set aside for this, so even if they're $9.99 I'll be fine.

Quick update via the Sega blog: it's coming on March 4 in NA and March 12 in EU. US price is $29.99. The Snow Miku and Extra Characters DLCs are cross-buy; if you've already bought them on PS3 you automatically own them on Vita and vice versa.

The old OT has been updated with this info.

So America gets this for discounted price and Europe is expected to pay full price of new release before we even get to DLC which actually makes it more expensive than other Vita games ?

Not buying it untill it gets discounted.

Sweet, completely forgot about this somehow! I'll hold my purchase until Sony runs another "spend x get y" thing again, which is hopefully soonish.

How do we know it's full price on the EU store? All I see on the store is the demo version, there's no listing for the full version yet?

Price is on here

This is before DLC, even if they price the DLC extremely fair (which I doubt) that still makes it more expensive than the PS3 version

It costs basically $50 just for the base game, I'm gonna assume $=£ on the DLC too and say it's gonna be $15 so $65 in total, may as well import f 2nd

I never copied the website EU pricing into the OT because the website has a history of being wrong on that front. We simply aren't going to know for sure what the price will be until it actually comes out.

When were the other times it was wrong?

I've tried contacting SEGA, but that appears not to be happening.

Sega's gotta be kidding with that PAL region pricing. You'd be better off importing the game or buying it on PS3. $30 US on the other hand is a great price, even without the DLC.

I really want to support the series and Vita releases in the West but boy are they making it hard.

Oh phew, hopefully it was just a screwup then.

will probably end up being the same though as thats about on par with SEGAs treatment of this game in europe so far.

Prior to EU launch of the PS3 version the website stated the UK PS3 price would be £34.99. Come launch day, it was briefly priced at £31.99, then increased to £36.99 shortly thereafter. A day or two later, the website was updated to reflect the £36.99 pricing.

Basically, anything could happen.

Heh, raising it again is just asking for the game to fail, I understand it's a niche product and all, but production costs can't be that high, the entire game and translation is already completely done, heh, considering the EXTRA songs aren't included in this package i'm willing to bet that all they basically did was take the JP Vita version and replace the localisation files from the PS3 release.

On top of this, the existing fans of the series (because lets face it, most people with even a passing interest won't put that much down on a handheld game) have already imported the original release or will be importing the sequel which makes this release redundant to start with.

I'm in six and two threes really with this release, in one hand, if this is the pricing that we can expect I want this release to fail for SEGA to see that this is really unacceptable, but on the other hand, even though i'm not the biggest fan of this series, as a Yakuza fan I want to see SEGA start localising the series again, and I hope SEGA starts seeing localisations more viable (Heh, this is part of the reason I imported the original American retail release of this game)

The Song DLC costs 7,99€/6.49£ accoring to the site which I think is a fair price. All the DLCs and the PS3 game are priced pretty fairly in comparison the the US price. Except the Vita base game, so I really hope it's a typo or/and a mistake.

Can you link where that is? That's good for the DLC, still puts the price ahead of PS3 with the base game though... I'd go for £20 plus that for the DLC price, still $5 more expensive but it's not as awful as before
