To be fair even when they fixed it for the remakes taking one of the Kanto ghosts against Sabrina would be a pretty bad move, with the Poison weakness.

Anyone care to update me on the current situation? I went to sleep after they taught Lapras both HM's and went back inside Silph Co.
A haunter would outspeed any of sabrina's pokemon and can do 60 power ghost punches with stab and super effective and can never miss.

First time dropping in on this. Seems pretty fun though judging from the pictures. Is progression better under Anarchy or Democracy?
Yeah, but the issue is that Ghost moves up until Gen IV were considered Physical, and Ghost pokemon in Gen I had crappy Attack.

Progression is awesome under anarchy and meh under democracy.
It's quite short the tree's that we need to cut on the way to pallet town... Don't get your hopes up.
Based Pidgeot, just 7-8 levels more and we have a pkmn able to fight blue post E4 (His Blastoise post E4 is LV 65.)...
Offtopic: when I played pkmn (almost 15 years ago)... my party consisted in Blastoise, Pidgeot, Lapras and the 3 ground Team (Golem, Dugtrio and Sandslash)...

Nah. If you play frlg, haunter can learn shadow ball. Thats 80 power sp att right there

Until gen 4, ALL moves that were fire, grass, water, dragon, ice, dark, psychic, and electric were special. All other types were physical

We beat Giovanni and got the master ball. And we tought AIR the HMs
Physical/Special split didn't happen till Gen IV.
Ghost was considered a physical type pre-Gen IV.

Because of the random nature of this, we go into options and toggle battle animations on/off by accident pretty often.
I love how someone genuinely tried to take credit for three arrows!
