Just out of curiosity, Persona Q is retail of course right? I have little doubt since the Conception 2 unveiling showed the eShop logo and it's retail bound, just curious.

I would like to pick this up on ps3 as much as to next guy ( I dont own a ps4) but sony really needs some games that r going to move ps4 units in japan. And it will probably be released in 2018 in NA cause we all know that's what happens with jrpgs and the devs dont care about killing off further a genre that is already dead using massive delays as the weapon of choice.

The sales on 360 were pretty pitiful to begin with for the first game. They were enough to justify keeping the lone sequel to the game on the system for the west. To make sure those few people could still continue the series. If this was going to be a long running series well past this final chapter, I seriously doubt they'd commit to it like they have.

Going by this logic they would have to own a PS2 or a Vita to see the whole thing since Persona 3 and 4 directly tie into the story of 4A (mainly 4).

Not at all. I think Arc's doing the 360 port, as I can't imagine Atlus themselves has the staff/time to do a complete port of a new engine game to another platform.

Great point. I'm getting a 3DS XL the day SMTIV or Q are out here.

Its been dead for a long time compared to the good old days on consoles at least. The devs dont care about alienating western consumers with poor marketing and massive delays. And the console market in japan is a fraction of what it once was. Its amazing how self destructive these guys are. Its almost certain atlus will region lock this.

I don't know that it's fair to call it a big exclusive. This game won't move anywhere near the numbers of a big console exclusive like uncharted. If I remember the sales for 4 outside of Japan were lower than anticipated.

I suspect the reason Persona 5 is not coming to 360 is because of the decision to create a brand new engine for the game. It's obviously had development issues and was even rumored to be on PS4 at one point, but it seems like all hands are on deck to get the game working on PS3 so other consoles went out the door when they made the decision to start from scratch instead of piggybacking off Catherine and Gamebryo.

It made me laugh listening to the Bombcast after P5's original unveil how Gerstmann just assumed that Persona 5 would naturally head to the Xbox 360 as well.

Arena did not get a simultaneous release. It was late in europe and thats why i boycotted it and think other NA gamers should have boycotted it as well.

Id buy a ps4 in a heartbeat if P5 was exclusive to it. Heck Ill buy a ps3 just for this game if there isnt a Vita port. P3/P/fes and P4/Golden are fantastic, so i want P5 in my veins already.
