Gaaahhh I couldn't resist the greenman deal. I bought this game for the third time now. No regrets. I can't believe I'm still excited to play a game I've played a million times before

I activated the code for Soundtrack and Artbook Bonus, but where is it located? Or is just pre-loaded too?

I am not sure if available yet (have not pre-loaded), but it'll be contained in the game's steam folder, in the Steam < Steamapps > Resident Evil 4 folder.

It did this with Resident Evil 6 and Revelations, at least. Will be a folder in the game's main director labelled as "Soundtrack" or something, and something like "Artbook".

Urgh. I gave in. I wanted to wait until a sale. I've played RE4 so many times that I nearly get physically ill when I try again, but those frames look so good.

Thank you. I have it pre-loaded out the house, but didn't check the contents yet.

As someone who has only ever played PS2-based versions of this game, how often do the GC/Wii versions use these effects, exactly?

Like, is there subtle specular highlighting all over the game? Or is it only in a few places?
The subtle specular highlighting effect is all over the place actually, like on Leon's jacket, shoes, gloves, enemies like the novistadores, etc. BUT the effect is so subtle in most instances that you don't notice it. I'd say the 60fps benefit far outweighs the loss of specular highlights.

Also there are videos illustrating the differences though, like when lightning flashes on the GCN version, the environment lights and reflects it, and on the PS2 version, it stays pretty much static. Over all, the PS2 version was at a pretty big downgrade from the GCN for an atmospheric game like this is imo, the lighting effects were worse all around.

it's a decent game, like how super mario bros is still worth playing, even though there are dozen of sequels

if it doesn't look appealing to you then just grab it on a steam sale

It's a decent game sorta like how FFVI or Chrono Trigger is a decent RPG.

The title should be something about ballistics...

Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition PC |OT| I'll buy it at a Steam sale price

Not because the port is bad, just because you know must people will wait until then.

Which one do you guys like the best?

Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition PC |OT| 30 FPS is small-time
Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition PC |OT| Welcome back, stranger!
Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition PC |OT| 60 FPS es vivir
Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition PC |OT| This will tide us over until Dragon’s Dogma

I'm gonna start crying.

Can't wait for this. Such a good game. I really hope people mod the shit out of this. The abomination we got before was patched to a good state, so I'm hoping with this version, modders will make it shine.

Oh, true true. I thought he was just asking about what he'll be missing in the UHD version, understanding that they have brought over the GCN lighting effects for the most part.
