Twitch Plays Pokemon Thread 3: Return of Red... Aussies win again!

What would be a fair way to get Anarchy back? 30% of the votes need to be Anarchy? Or something like that, otherwise even when Democracy is being used for a legitimate reason, it will just go back to Anarchy.

Gamefreak plz....XD

Safari Zone, ledges, PCs, Giovanni's hideout, even the Victory Road... all of those were possible, even if extremely difficult, in anarchy.

This is almost impossible, it's basically based on the pure luck of stringing about 20 right commands one after the other. Yeah, we aren't doing this in anarchy.

People trying to make complicated sequences to get through the gym instantly are dumb. As we've seen with every democracy since the start of crystal, the majority will only do 1 and 9 commands, anything else just splits up the vote and leads to anarchy winning.

No matter what you say, Safari Zone is impossible in anarchy mode, especially since we only had a limited number of tries to do it.

I agree with everything else, but I'm honestly glad that we did democracy mode for most of that stuff because it led to some really awesome moments during the Pokemon League battles.

HOLY SHIT YES/NO, I wanna be there to see THAT!

As far as avoiding him, we probably would have been better off if no one brought attention to it. But we probably are just gonna have to learn Fly this time.

I think it's time to give up on this for me. It's a combination of this not really feeling like it has the same magic as TPP Red, and me needing to actually get some work done. I think he should have left a fortnight or even a month between the games really, it needed more breathing space.

It's been real fun though, this thread has been great and TPP is definitely one of my favourite Internet things. Good luck with Crystal, I'll try and come back for the Red battle.

I agree that it should have been longer than a day, I'm getting kind of burned out too! But we've got Feraligatr now and we've made it to Morty, so I'm still enthralled.

And oh my god, that old man in the Center. Good god we're gonna need fly for this. God help us all when we learn it though.

The complicated string won the first democracy vote and actually worked, but unfortunately it was off by 1 step. It got all the way to the middle, but the vote instantly went back to anarchy before anyone could try and fix the sequence.

EDIT: You bring up a good point though. It would probably make more sense for all non-anarchy inputs during democracy should be weighted against the anarchy vote, because people voting for slightly different things pushes it back to anarchy so quickly.

Oh god. I'd completely forgotten about this gym. It's only two lines of imput though for democracy. I don't see why it's so hard.

... We're gonna be here forevah

So the title change is because we're in Morty's gym? Not because we released a bunch of pokemon? I wasn't here for a bit and I missed some stuff.

We already did it in democracy. I'm sure it would happen again if the system actually switched to it like it was supposed to. Ever since the last switch it hasn't been working.

It's hidden code. Since we made it once in democracy, it has to be passed in anarchy before democracy can be used again. Because. You know. Social experiment. Gotta have a baseline for how long it would take both modes to get there~

well we know for a fact that trolls will never let it happen. so yeah

Without democracy, we are truly fucked.

Comments in the reddit thread suggest the actual odds are even high against anarchy succeeding than the image says.[/QUOTE]

This is like a nightmare multi-directional ledge. Where the ledge presses in on all sides.

On the positive side, we're taking a lot of steps and not fainting, so Eevee will be ready to evolve into Espeon/Umbreon sooner than later.

What does pressing start accomplish? I'm reading that it helps everyone coordinate their next moves, buffering them up, but it seems a bit too chaotic for that to happen.

How many compound commands can we do for one democracy vote? From the reset point, I believe we need to do: Up 1 Right 3, Up 4, Left 4, Up 3, Right 4, Up 3, Left 2, Up 4.
