Infamous Second Son has gone gold

Right. The attitude of "just add it!" is so ignorant. The thread about how much work simply adding a custom button mapping option should have been illuminating enough. Adding an entire gameplay feature is incredibly demanding on a team. Let alone for a feature they wouldn't anticipate many people even using.

Can I get a link on that one?

SuckerPunch caught a wind of the Beanification going on in here lol

There was a video on the Rage developers talking about how hard it was for them to do car physics. It is a complete waste of resource and time. This is more of an action game than a put everything here gta game.

It'll have less to do, less options, less pedestrians, much less staff members.

I respect everyone else's personal interests in what they'd like to do, but I know the last thing I'd want to do in a superhero game like this is drive around in a normal car.

Batmobile gets a pass because it's obviously not normal given all the crazy stuff it can do.

I figured as much. However, I do wish 4 million people were interested in this.

For what it's worth, the regular trailers for this have a lot of views too. The Neon Power reveal and E3 trailers are both very close to 3 million views. Definitely more interest than what the previous games got.

I kind of hope not- I remember those IGN exclusive reviews that came out way too early. I hope the reviews hit a day or two before it launches.
Too early? Didn't know there was such a thing.

Its kindof insane how little I know about this game. Looks nice, and I'll be bashing nondescript soldier dudes in the street. And neon. Yep - that's what I know.

But i had a great time with the previous two games, so those warm fuzzies go a long way.

But IGN rated the other games very highly, Infamous 2 even got a 9 from them.

I can't see the logic in wanting reviews delayed other than to avoid spoilers, and the closer the review are to release the less reassuring it is to those on the fence.

I hear y'all but still! Those exclusive reviews that come out 2+weeks early (even with Greg Miller being a fan and all) felt too "exclusive." Maybe I'm making a bigger deal of this, and yes I hope the game is absolutely wonderful but I'd like to see reviews all drop at the same time.

I agree with Dreamfall, I remember last gen there was a time where all Sony reviews hit two weeks before the game launches. In a busy release season, that's a mistake because your game is gone from the websites at the time of its release. One exclusive review probably won't matter but they had the embargos end for everybody that early.

Too bad you probably can't beanify my Order crest avatar. :(

Ah, that makes sense then. Yes, that's way better.

Not sure if this is new (haven't been following this game that closely) but here's Press Kit unboxing video. Posted it in the topic about some new screenshots but it died quickly after and I still figured some folks might be interested in seeing what it's like.

Oh OK, so you're more concerned about the "exclusive" part of those arrangements and not so much how early general reviews will drop. Sounds reasonable to me.

Second Son should do really well, PS4 users are gagging right now.
Heh. Gagging?

I think we might have different models of PS4. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

If Sony market the fuck out of this it could hit big, there's 6 million PS4s out there in the wild, and most of those gamers are eagerly awaiting a big exclusive game. If it reviews well and Sony market it I expect 1-2 million by the end of the year (until other big exclusives start hitting) and lifetime sales to be exceeding that easily.
