Twitch Plays Pokemon Thread 3: Return of Red... Aussies win again!

I have a feeling things will kick back up once we get closer to actually challenging Red and having a fresh start in a place like Hoenn. Getting through the Sky Pillar is going to be nuts.
Sky Pillar is literally impossible after the cracks appear; it requires continued pushing of a button.
Someone just banned me for posting "throw the gator down the well, so my country can be free". Meanwhile penis ascii's everywhere. Anal chat mods.
I know, they're horrible.

I have a feeling that gen 3 run, if there is one hopefully, will change it such for sky pillar in that things such as down9, for directions only, will take the action of holding down

No need IMO; Rayquaza isn't necessary for beating the game and them catching a level 70 Rayquaza would just be a repeat of Zapdos.

Eevee is in the box? :(

I really want to see what he'll eventually evolve into.

Well, our team is pretty terrible still so no doubt there will be some changes and they might bring back Eevee (especially for Vaporeon and Waterfall).

Actually, they're at the PC now and they seem to go to it as much as possible so I expect frequent team changes.

BATTLE TIME

EDIT: Holy shit thunder wave and all our moves are resisted, we've finally found a hard counter.
Ahahaha we're getting sweeped by a magnemite.

Maybe getting a Geodude wouldn't have been a bad idea way back when. :P

Also, since when have you been able to scroll up in Twitch chat and have it stay there? That's a massive improvement.

2/3s on the first magnemite while it sweeped our team with thunderbolt. It thunder wave'd the gator and he was unable to do anything because of it.

Oh.

What's going to happen is just leveling up Gatr till he can OHKO the magnemites

Maybe not, hopefully the chat will realize there are two magnemites to face

Funny, Jasmine was always the 2nd easiest gym leader for me in the game

Of course you probably didn't rely on a single water type with random moves. :P
Yeah I hope chat uses this as an opportunity to actually backtrack enough so that leveling is possible on the rest of the team rather than fight over releasing Feraligatr (like they've been doing).

HTML Plays Pokemon just beat Ruby, despite once again having most of the Pokemon released last night.

Thankfully they didn't/couldn't release one of the powerhouses of the team (Azumarill, other was a Crobat named BROBAT that they did release) and once out of the daycare they left it in it only took a few more attempts, teaching it Ice Beam, some Leppa Berries, and a couple of Hyper Potions and Revives to beat the game.

(Had to use a Master Ball to catch a Tentacool to Surf off of Mossdeep after they stranded the player there without a Pokemon that knows Surf/Fly and no money as well...)

They released Brobat? :( Man that guy was tough, when I was trying it out the other night he beasted most of the E4. Him and the Azumarill. Shame they went and released everyone, it wouldn't have taken much to level the rest of the team just a bit to easily take on the E4.

Well honestly those two probably could have done it last night if someone hadn't implemented a bot to spam down movement and Azumarill had known Ice Beam then too, which was the entire reason the final E4 member could be beat today. I guess they stopped the bot once they thought the player was trapped on Mossdeep though, which is why it wasn't that difficult today.

a cruel world

The run would be more interested with Feraligatr at least benched for a while, Togepi didn't deserve to go because Metronome shenanigans are fun as hell. He should have leveled up more, but Gator was hogging all the EXP.

We lost the best/most entertaining Pokemon we had? All because of the fucking Gator?

Release the Gator. Release Smoochums. Release everyone who isn't Eevee and catch Lapras and grab Brain back from the Daycare. And catch Celibi while we're st it.

I'm sad too, but we SHOULD NOT do this

Btw, Chikorita still worst starter

Professor Elm just died a little inside.

Dude was so excited over that mystery egg, too. Aw, yeah, it hatched into a totally rare Pokemon that no one has. Oops, accidentally let it go.

Togepi did know Flash though...So maybe it went towards the light. T_T

Of the 18 or so pokemon we have the two that we released just happened to be the ones we get emotionally attached to...

Damn, this PC is precise.

I come back and apparently we lost Togepi? It's a sad sad day without Metronome.

On the bright side, our current team looks pretty good and diverse, if we can just get Feraligatr out of the top spot.

I miss you Togepi.

Let us all remember our comrade in waggling fingers' great moments, such as his Metronome Sacred Fire against Morty's haunter

METRONOME WHY NOO

Well, we got Eevee back finally. That will hopefully be good for something once it evolves. We still need to find somewhere we can train a bunch of level 15s though. It's honestly not that hard to grind in Pokemon, you just go somewhere where you are a couple of levels ahead and grind a bit, then move further, and repeat. It's just a little more difficult when we aren't in full control.

We could go and rebattle the people who's phone numbers we got; most of them have called us for rematches at this point. If we can get everyone to around level 20, then we can skip Jasmine temporarily and go to Mahogany, where levels fall back down to like 17.

We have too strong of a tendency to resort to gator in wild battles due to wild pokemon fainting everything else. It needs to be boxed temporarily.

That just means we have to grind someplace where our low levels aren't fainting left and right. This is true with or without the gator.

Agreed. Doesn't matter if we have him or not, if everyone loses all the time, we can't grind in that area. We need to go to a lower level spot, and if we could grind there, doesn't matter if we have Feraligatr. Only difference is we're not likely to black out, so we have to trek back to the Pokemon Center. Not a big deal in the scheme of things.

Yes but the idea that people will coordinate in anarchy mode to grind low levels while having the gator is unrealistic, where as releasing him gives people no choice.

I support this plan.

Where should we go
