In the process of having my basement redone so I can move into the basement, but my temp setup is pretty cozy.

I like the more complicated extra shelf setup, it frames the TV a bit better , the second one obviously looks cleaner and at night , in the dark , it'll still look fine for watching movies and such but I'm not as big a fan on the minimalist approach. That's really what you have to decide dude. You redesigning it because you want to fit more stuff in there or are you wanting to make it look neater.

Also, Dark10X, setup looks excellent as always. One of these days I kind of wish I could pull mine out of the ghetto basement. Ghetto basement still basically looks like this - . Although my Uncles finally took down most of their deer heads, just one remains looking through your soul. I'm also in desperate need of some proper shelving , leaning towards one of those ikea billy shelves but I'm not sure where to set it up.

man that is some gahiggidy-Hannibal shit.

Y'know...this thread makes me want to clean my room up a bit. It's totally manageable and not at all sloppy or dirty. It just needs new gear. My TV could use an upgrade, my sound system could use an upgrade (oh God could it ever), and I need to figure out how to best display all my Transformers Prime toys in such a way that it looks snappy.

Perhaps something to do at nights when work doesn't have me writing surprise proposals.

Here's an album of my little apartment: http://imgur.com/a/uHYaB

I currently have a 60" Panasonic ST60, a PS3, a PS4, and a X360 in there.

My speakers are from the Pioneer Andrew Jones line: The floor standing FS52s for my fronts, bookshelf BS22s for my side surrounds, and a C22 for my center.

Nothing amazing, but I wanted to have easier access to all my old consoles so I bought a monitor with plenty of inputs and cut holes out the back of the cabinet. Most of the consoles are fed through the switch boxes, so all I have to do is open the door and plug the controller in.

All but the NES are working, and yes I need a new shelf for the Saturn :(

EDIT: sorry for the shitty camera phone pic, all I have

Why is your chair at an angle to your TV? Just for the photographing or regularly as well?

I had it set up like that before - was just playing around with it. I have it square now and I like it a lot more. I'm getting some more artwork framed, I'll put up an updated pic in a week or two.

Love how you renamed your input, lol.

Not a lot has changed recently apart from new flooring. Same old TV, last-gen consoles and my trusty Fanatec/Playseat rig. Shitty (edit: REALLY shitty) front-cam Nexus photos, but as all the equipment has just been reinstalled after the new floor was put down it'll probably never look tidier. The PS3 is currently downstairs in use as a media player and gets shunted upstairs when I fancy some GT5.

Pretty basic but I like it.

Some paintings and pictures are going up soon

That's a really good looking room to me. Nothing completely over the top, just clean and comfortable looking. Good light from those nice big windows, too, I'll bet.

This thread has inspired me to clean the fuck out of everything in my unit and basically give it a complete motherfucking Ikea overhaul. I'm still using furniture I had when I moved in 10 years ago... need to give shit up, big time.

My latest.
This setup (for example, sorry for picking you out RH) looks tidy as hell. Money should be no object!

No offense to anyone who uses the term, but does "man-cave" seem odd to anyone else? I just picture someone going "this is my man-cave bro, no chicks allowed". Umm I think I'll pass you guys have fun down there in your room that smells like guy ass.

Mancave nearing completion. Doors are being fitted for frosted glass. Sub is hiding in the left cabinet.

Oooohhh, looks nice. Came a long way since the last you posted this room. An ambilight TV would fit perfect. Shame that Phillips doesn't allow brand to use their Ambilight tech.

White one XB1 fits nicely. But no other consoles, or are they hidden in the cabinet?

haven't finished setup. Just plugged it in to calibrate audio for Kinect and sound bar.

Great idea. I just ordered a cheap USB powered light strip. It's reviewed really well and is dirt cheap. It will power on and off with the Aquos (Xbox, turn off - actually) and will pop the contrast. It ain't ambilight but it's cool and it will help with eyestrain. If it sucks, only $15.

I am going to put a standalone 3D Blu Ray player in there, just so visitors and my kid can watch DVDs. The only issue currently is that the furnace is still exposed. We have sliding insulated doors coming next week.

Was bummed to realize that the new basement is ona different circuit than upstairs, because I was using powerline to have a "wired" connection - actually with great success. But I was VERY pleased to see the Xbone wireless radio is powerful. I am getting full bars down there and my 360 only used to get like, minimum signal.

Oh and behind that sofa is my exercise bike which will be hidden by the sliding doors when needed, because I watch and play most things riding a recumbent bike.

Wow awesome job to everyone!

I love the setup you have Tabris... I seen the coffee table on Ikea... could you be so kind and share with us where some of your other pieces are from? Couches, tv stand, storage units by the window (I presume thats what they are).

Love the modern sleek type of look!
