I'm not surprised. The Warning! Challenger Approaching banner is already gone. It sounds like we might be getting a veteran reveal tonight.

Didn't think I'd ever say this, but I'd rather have a new stage reveal.

I don't think that should be taken as a sign of things to come.
 
Yoshi's game comes out within a couple of weeks doesn't it? I don't think there should be any expectation of a character before that, or within a week after. That day will be reserved for the reveal of a certain green ogre, and big news like that needs time to breathe.

Actually, it has been awhile since I saw people having fun in smash thread. I can't even remember when is last time people were eager to discussing something fun

By the time SSB5 releases and he's in, Smash will be franchise valhalla anyway. I mean, in SSB4 we've already got plenty of dead franchises - ROB, G&W, Ice Climbers, Pokemon Gen I (if you buy into the fact that Gen III and onwards formed their own unique timeline thanks to compatability and the remakes), Mega Man,
Star Fox, Metroid, The Wonderful 101, F-Zero, Mother...

I have predicted a new character for two nights in a row now.

One more night. Please Sakurai, show these people how good I am at predicting stuff.
 
I know I'm a bit late for this, but in regards to today's picture, there's a really easy way of angling your side-smashes in Brawl: basically, perform a smash attack with the C-stick while tilting your control stick up or down to angle it accordingly. It's very simple to do and doesn't require you to tilt your control stick diagonally.

Here are all the characters in Brawl that can angle their moves:

-Mario (f-tilt, f-smash)
-Luigi (f-tilt, f-smash)
-Bowser (f-tilt)
-DK (f-tilt)
-Diddy (f-tilt)

Out of curiosity, does anyone know of any newcomer request surveys conducted in early 2012 (pre-Fire Emblem Awakening)? I know Smashboards and GameFAQs held major polls, but I'm having trouble finding them. Sakurai's obviously listening to the fans with characters like Mega Man and Little Mac, and I'd like to know who else was really popular around that time. 2014 character bandwagons are really clouding my judgment.

I agreed that 2013 and 2014 franchise are influencing people's prediction decision making. We can't tell if Sakurai would consider to put characters from 2013 and 2014 franchises' games. But Sakurai could pull Roy tho.
