Also grinding (Exp Share on Katie). Also hope to use up Pokéballs so we don't use them on Elite Four (wastes a turn).

Allegedly we just caught a shiny golbat. The chat is raving about it but I didn't see the pokemon itself as I was reading some terrible jokes in another tab.

No, I think the shiny thing is a joke. They've been saying that about the last few Pokémon we've caught. And many other Pokémon we've encountered.

It's pretty good if we can stay on Bite. Espeon nearly swept Will before doing so. The problem is that next level Espeon learns Psych Up, which is a useless non-damaging move. If we're spamming A to Bite things to death and level up, it would be real easy for the A spam to overwrite Bite with Psych Up. Its got me really worried.

Amazing that with such a small outdoors area that we don't even need to be going through, we still manage to use fly while in it.

It wasn't fly, it was that man with the Abra in Indigo Plateau. I think it's Lance wearing a mask so we can never beat him.
 
I saw the stream yesterday when they had that lottery system. It actually got me back into watching. Now it's back to the old mode. What the hell? We were actually doing well in that mode.

The operator of the stream switched it back so Democracy could be used to Fly back to the Pokemon League.

Considering that they must have gotten there on foot in the first place, I don't see any reason why they would have needed to use Fly to get back. Is it even that inconceivable that the stream could have used Fly without democracy? There aren't many destinations in Kanto. Shoot, that's a stupid reason. I wish the streamer wouldn't lose his nerve at minor setbacks.

Oh well, maybe I'll just take another break from the stream. We'll see if it comes back later.
 
Looks like we're abusing democracy to go on a TM spree. When do we get the old amber system back?

Was last time you checked a week ago? Because aside from day 1 and 2 of crystal, views have been hovering around 15-30k the whole game. In the last few days its dipped down to 10k or lower late at night.
 
Is this our first time making it to Karen?

It's amazing what a difference having the switch-out option on "Set" does for allowing our heavy hitters to sweep.

In gen 1, the AI made it seem at times as if we were facing someone just as random and inconsistent as ourselves. Gen 2 is a massive step up in that department making it that much harder to get a fluke win against actual high-level opponents. We'll have to grind until we are over-leveled enough to survive any errors we might make...

Kanto will be a breeze though...
Red will be a nightmare.

I dunno about being a breeze, Kanto: Revengeance did have Leader Blue after all. Some of the other gym leaders were also pretty great about keeping up as well.

Sadly, of the Gym leaders of Kanto only Blue have higher average levels than that of the E4, so once we are able to take on the E4 and Lance in one go without healing items or anything, the other gyms won't be able to put up much resistance, I think. The jump in levels between Blue and Red though...

The Pokemon Center is just outside Mt. Silver, but yeah, depending on how long it will take to navigate through the darkness of Mt. Silver, it could get tedious.
 
Is there a script to filter out a lot of the awful chat spam like the text that fills the screen vertically? I keep ignoring them, but more and more bots are popping up.
 
What are the chances of the next stream running on pure anarchy? It's needed.

When Abby and Jay Leno got released it was almost hypnotic,catching the Zapdos was incredible. Democracy kills the game for me.

Threre is only one moment in 3rd gen that requires Democracy, and that's Juan's Gym. Rest can be done fine in anarchy, although shit like Norman and the twins are gonna kick our asses.
 
That was the most pathetic thing I've seen the stream do. These elite four battles are the most interesting thing in this run by far and people want to use democracy to a9 surf spam through them whenever they get the chance. Really disappointing. I just know that when we finally win it'll be because something like that happens again.
 
I don't really think we needed Democracy to beat Bruno, but that quick fight against Karen with the clutch Icy Wind was pretty neat
