My only legit encounter with a shiny ever was a Shiny Zubat.

Killed it accidentally.

Zubat was also my first and only shiny ( aside from the Odd Egg ). Caught it though and made a Crobat of it. Then I started a new game and it was gone. That was a long time ago though.

I think it's much better to grind until we white out than just go up and white out with 0% chance of getting more experience. The higher the gator is, the better chance he has of withstanding a thunder and/or getting an OHKO on AA-j.

Edit: I don't know why they're bothering with democracy. This would be a terrible run to waste the max revive and they don't really have anything all that useful to use/learn.
