I always try to make a move on the first date. Someone said wait until date #3? Yikes you'll have gotten friend-zoned a long time before that.

Ice skating and then some hot cocoa at a nearby cafe.

Dinner and then the new Veronica Mars movie.

Depending on your city, a food festival can be a fun and silly outing. Maybe not for a first date though.

Also depending on your location and weather, make a day out of going to a nearby farmer's market.

Any concerts happening? Not a huge one, but maybe something more Indie (not a band with too niche of a sound though).

Take her out to see some abandoned warehouses. Keep reminding her of the frailty of our existance while you're exploring

Don't even get me started! :O

I don't know this person. Choose something you'll both be into outside of dinner and a movie.

Post it or send that my way! I'm in need of a romantic homemade dinner.

Okay, here goes. This is my grandfathers "secret" recipe. Simple and effective

Use high quality products!!! Important.

Onion
Yellow pepper
Fresh garlic
2 cans puree.
1 large can tomato paste
1 and a half normal sized bottle Dasani (Arizona tap water sucks dick, gotta use something good)
2 lb fresh Hamburger
3 thick pork chops
3 thick chicken breasts
5 sweet italian sausage

sprinkle to taste:
parsley
oregano
bay leaf
thyme
rosemary
salt n peppa

For sauce: mince pepper/onion in olive oil. add puree, water, paste, and spices. Cut up dat meat as small as you want it. Brown the pork and chicken on a skillet with some salty seasoning. Taste is up to you. Sausage, cut it up and add directly to sauce. Get err'thang in the giant pot and let that shit simmer on low for a couple of hours. If your girl is over you better be ready to throw down because the smell of this sauce alone will get her ready

For meatballs: 2lbs burger, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, ONE egg, about 8 Ritz crackers crushed up as well as you can. Mush all together and plop that shit into the sauce.

Serve that shit with your favorite pasta, garlic bread, and red wine. Eat with BioShock 1 vinyl on the record player and the lights down low. Don't eat too much because she about to be calling you Big Daddy in no time

Other first date advice: engage them.
Other advice: take interest in them regardless.

Dating is about 'getting to know' someone, respectfully.

Listen to them speak to you. Face to face. Learn who they are and then learn if you like them.

Eat the meat of three whole animals, turned into a sauce and poured onto noodles, then lay on the couch / floor.

This date is his "best friend". It's safe to assume he knows what she likes.

Regardless of prior engagement, he wants to build towards intimacy.

I think something loose in is order. Easy check is Groupon. No ideas there, get outdoors and mobilize.

Also consider being yourself and suggesting YOUR HOBBY or CURIOSITY.

Like puzzles? Find a sheltered park bench to do a puzzle on? Watch the sunset and see if you two fit?

Anything works if you're compatible.

I went on my first date ever last Sunday, and it was great. We got to the theater late, (and it was the wrong theater), so we had to wait for the next showing, so we went to a nickel arcade she had been to. Then we walked around Petco (she goes there and likes animals), and went to the theater after to catch the showing. There was nobody else in the theater, so we talked and fooled around, and it was magical. After that we drove through Panda Express and at in the parking lot.

tl;dr Go somewhere she likes. See a movie in an empty theater so you can do whatever you want.

Go to the zoo.

A must if she likes animals. I was going to suggest taking my girlfriend there on another date.

movies is the worst idea.

Dinner. Zoo is a pretty awesome date idea. follow that up with a meal or coffee done.

The zoo or a museum was always a go to for me on early dates.

Don't like animals or cool science shit? Guess we shouldn't date anyways.

2nd date was always me cooking and then the sex test.

It's like a dinner and an interactive play, all mixed into one.

There's a murder and actors come around to different tables and you get to interview them about where they were, what they were doing, etc. then you get to accuse someone. Kind of like clue.
Oh coo-wait a damn minute."a murder and actors"?

edit: reading comprehension: zero.
murder, not murderer. I feel dumb.

Making a move on the first date? Second is better first just seems like it's desperate.[/QUOTE]

I'd like to congratulate you for finding one of four images that exists on the planet Earth wherein Lily Cole doesn't look like a Human-Grey alien hybrid.

An idea: The complete 24 box set. A big TV. Your couch. Bowl of skittles.

Go to a good Sushi restaurant. It's more "hands on" and "playful" then a lot of choices. Then go get ice cream and take a walk together.
