Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U Thread 5: Yarning for Yoshi

Toon Link should either get the Windwaker and play the Ballad of The Gales (fully controllable cyclone/tornado pillar) or the Four Sword (Geneijin with three other Links following whatever he does/Ice Climbers on cocaine).

Give Falco an arwing or his grenade launcher from the Assault artwork.

Give Pit the Three Sacred Treasures armor because fuck yea high mobility and shootan things.
Also because Palutena needs a Final Smash. :D

Give DK temporary access to his Jungle Beat skills. Grab opponent with stretchy arms, bash face in repeatedly.

Ganondorf's was alright already, but making him turn into a trident wielding "Ganon" form would be a cool nod.

Azure J pls
should be Great Sacred Treasure

While I think Mega Lulu should have just replaced dude.

Just make it turn him into Mega Lu and have him just stay like that, instead of just makng him stronger it changes some things about him and properities and such.

I wasn't expecting Little Mac but his move set looks cool I'm excited to play him. Also I hope they introduce Chrom from Fire Emblem even if that means no Ike.

Think they are gonna balance that shit this time?

Hahaha who the fuck am I kidding?

Namco and Sora seem to be aware of (and not purposely gimping), the more competitive gamers this time around, so I'd assume that they aren't giving any extreme consideration to final smashes.

So when do you guys think you'll end up going dark for this game?

I plan to once a release date is announced. Especially after having spoiled Brawl for myself.

Kinda undecided on if I'd rather have Chrom or Lucina. Really hope they do PT again and change his final smash to Mega Evolving his team. Even if that means Squirtle skips being a Wartortle or reg. Blastoise. Cuz unlike lots of people I don't have a stick up my butt about the OG 3 or Mega Evolution.

That's just the aura around it getting the same treatment as every other effect we've seen so far, the artwork had additional frills that weren't visible in-game for Brawl either.

I dunno, just seems silly to consider this "new" at all when it's basically the same as Brawl.

Am I missing smething here? It obviously has more/different effects around it, this isnt some thing we have always seen, its clearly a "new" look

Welcome to SmashGAF.

This Friday will be a month ever since we had a character reveal.

I think we'll get one this week. There's been a steady stream on little reveals and it feels like a character is around th corner..well hopefully.

Welcome to the madness. And yea Mac looks great and after reading some of the japanese responses (can't find the link to that site atm) about it I kinda feel Sakurai added him for the west so I part of me still can't believe it. Lol. if he decides to add a niche character for their fanbase I can't complain now.

And I'm with you id take Chrom and even Lucina over Ike in priority.

It's a new look in the same way the added effects make KOs a new look.

I guess you're free to argue that but all I see is the same design with a different glow.

I'm going dark when we get closer to release date. However when it getting close to release date, I'm urging someone to create a leak thread so people wouldn't spoil us here.

Is Peach's FS based on any Mario game? If not they should change hers. Also while they're at it they can buff Sonic's FS.
Peach and Kirby were probably my two favorite characters, so yeah I wouldn't mind if BOTH those final smashes were changed or improved. :P

With Peach you might get lucky and be able to set up a charged smash on someone, and get a good weapon to hit them with (if the person you didn't put to sleep doesn't kill you in the process). But with Kirby, you're all adorable and cooking and you think they have so much damage, they're going to go flying, but nooooo, it's a low-tier cooking pot.

Also with Peach's FS the enemy also had a chance to recover health. They should've made it that only Peach can eat the fruits.

Just had an awesome idea for a newcomer trailer.

The video starts, and we see a wide shot of Arena Ferox from Fire Emblem Awakening, with two figures entering the arena from either side. The camera cuts to a view of the left side, and walking in from the left, we see Chrom. Then the camera cuts to a closeup of the figure on the right, and pans up to reveal Marth. Not a masked Marth, but Marth as he appears in Smash Bros. The two draw their Falchions and prepare to duel. Chrom charges at Marth, and a number of strikes are exchanged, à la the Fire Emblem Awakening Puzzle Swap panel. Instead of Chrom getting a critical hit, however, this time it's Marth. Chrom falls after Marth's blow, and Marth begins to sheath his sword, but he's interrupted by a strike of lightning—it's Elthunder, cast from a cloaked figure behind the fallen Chrom. The cloaked figure lowers their hood and draws their sword.

Psych bomb. She throws a bunch of bombs around the field causing confusion to anyone she hits.
How about this: Emotional Wreckage - Peach can fly around the screen (Like Sonic, Yoshi, ect.) in her Joy stage, while she can switch between the other 3 stages. Gloom to use her tears to push opponents off of the stage (a la Mario's Fludd) Rage to damage opponents with fire (like the fire flower mixed with the spicy curry) Finally Calm to finish opponents off while simultaneously regaining a bit of HP.

What if there wasn't a character named "Link" in your Zelda game? Or no "Ness" in your EarthBound?

NOPE. Link and Ness are canonical, people who change 'em are crazy. Robin is just placeholder because I say so.

But mainly cause in Fire Emblem on the GBA you the gamer were really genuinely the tactician placed in-game, and I consider the tactician in FE:A to just be an extension of that same concept, despite being more of his own character. Especially since you build the character's appearance and voice and whatnot yourself.

This is equal parts absurd, confusing and broken.

I'll get Nintendo on the line.

So once you hear a release date you're staying off the internet right?
Joking

I don't plan to go dark, since that will be way too hard for a game I'm this interested in. There will be thread titles, and many unmarked information about the game here, other sites, and facebook.

"Because I say so," okay, sure, lol.

Someone pointed this out to me last night, and we both laughed at the aesthetic detail, and I don't remember anyone spotting this here when the item was first revealed:

If you specifically look at the trigger on the Steel Diver torpedo gun....

It has the trigger of a water pistol!

I love the love shown in those little things

Actually, to a degree, yes. I won't be on the gaming side of GAF anymore and I'll avoid pretty much any site that would discuss new things (which will be difficult considering YouTube and Facebook are big ones). I see this as an opportunity not only to keep the game fresh for me when it comes out, but a very good excuse to keep myself off the internet in general.
