Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U Thread 5: Yarning for Yoshi

Yeah, ye fellas are right; seems like I jumped the gun on this one!
And here's this:

I do wonder if Yoshi will end up going to the chiropractor, Bowser Style. Less ridable-Yoshi and more Yoshi Story esque.

I'm really hoping on 3DS we get a stage based off of WarioWare Twisted, specifically maybe like the spherical Mario World boss stage for 9-volt. That would be all kinds of amazing, and various minigames happen as the world turns on a sphere.

And here's this:

Hey, neat work there! While we're at it...

Pic of the day.
This shows a traveling stage in the moment just after Bowser got blasted from below in the first trailer.

Pic of the day. Let's try out the obstacle course today!

Also I think that NSMB comment was an accidental slip since those rotating blocks do appear in 3D Land.

Yeah, thinking of it I do recall them being SM3L-bound.

It'll be funny if we do get a 3DS NSBM stage that's -not- moving; you'd think the 2D series would lend itself to that nicely, a lá Mushroomy Kingdom in Brawl.

Pic of the day. Here's some info on the Nintendo 3DS stage called Super Mario 3D Land! First, it advances by side-scrolling…

Then you continue into the valley--it's in 3D Land, after all. The protruding stone blocks change the angles of the platforms.

After that, back to side-scrolling. Now it gets you moving--you'll have to trot downhill here.

And finally, you get back on rails to go farther into the stage. It takes roughly two minutes to complete a lap, and at the end you go into a giant pipe that takes you back to the beginning. …I know this sequence goes above and beyond a traditional Pic of the Day, so consider this a little something extra on the side from me.

Awrr, something special on my hatchday! Thank you, Sakurai! <3

Just for the record, posting fake pics around the usual update time, even if they are old fakes, is probably a bad idea.

I post old Pyrosphere pic rather than fake pic, safe.

Sakurai recently revealed a lot of 3DS-exclusive information, I think we'll see more WiiU version exclusive content when it come closer to the release date. So, more 3DS stages incoming this week?

Hree, thanks, everyone! <3

Though I'm still at worky work flailing a madfeather, eeee..

Wonder what this week will bring altogether. :>

Looks like this is gonna be a much more interesting reincarnation of Brawl's Mushroomy Kingdom. Which makes me think, MK had a alternate version being underground. Would be interesting to see that get implemented here too.

Considering this stage looks like it took actual effort to create I don't picture this happening.

With the exception of Peach's Castle in 64/Melee I find it interesting how all the stages based on Mario's own games are scrolling based ones.

I guess there's really not much of a different way in handling them.

Mushroom Kingdom 1 and 2, Super Mario World in Melee and Mario Kart in Brawl? They were all static.

Should be a scrolling Sonic stage. Gotta go fast/Blast Processing.

That reminds me, I'm curious to see the 3DS Sonic stage. Sure, it'll likely be from Colors or Lost World, but I'm still curious.

Personally, I hope it's either Starlight Carnival if it's Colors, or Frozen Factory if it's Lost World.

Chemical Zone or bust, man. They should even put in the drowning music if you're under water for too long.

SwapNote ;_;

Makes me wonder if they designed a swapnote or flipnote style stage, and then partway through development (or even worse, after completion) were told by nintendo not to include it because they have basically butchered those pieces of software.

Will be interesting to see if anyone can datamine that info from the game.
