FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU!

TEACH ME YOUR WAYS!

Attack the front legs by standing between his head, and standing in the center of his belly after 2-3 attacks since you need to react to these:
You will have a a 50% of him attacking you with his legs. You can attack the opposite legs during the attack animation
25% of him breathing fire under his legs. You can attack during either legs during the attack animation.
25% of him flying upward. Look behind for tail and run.

But the whole point isn't the %, it is being in the center of the circle during his flight.
Meaning there is no random chances of you not able to predict where he will go up doing stupid crap like turning 90/360 degree to adjust to the area.
He will always go upward, and look down/turning in a clockwise or CCW direction.
You can't fail tbh after you see the flight animation since the tail will always behind you in a CW or CCW(left/right) of your character.
Too me 7 tries because I got greedy and I was in a middle of a swing while he was up in the air or I was dodging instead of running since the fire breathe between his legs look like he was flying upward.
So make sure you see dusts first to see if he is flying or breathing fire between his legs as well.

So who exactly are the 4 main souls you need to collect?

and do I need to actually keep them or can I use them and it still counts as having gotten them?

Took a break from one boss and went to battle The D
uke's
D
ear
F
reja
as soon as I entered the battle area through the mist and no exaggeration I was dead after taking one step. Attacks were already primed when I entered and I couldn't dodge

One of the few bosses that I've needed to summon help. That thing was insane.

Hate to toot my own horn, but due to summoning not working for me I had to solo the fight earlier. It took me around 5 attempts.

Here's how:
Go through the fog gate, run left and try to round up the spiders, turn back and do a running swing attack into the spiders.
(If your weapon doesn't have a horizontal swing attack, i feel bad for you son / I got 99 problem but a pack of spiders ain't one).

Freja
is relatively easy on her(?) own. She has five attacks from what I saw:
A double stomp.
Several stomps in quick succession with acid spew.
A beam attack that sweeps left to right.
A forward swipe with her mandibles.
Web projectile.

Every time she telegraphs one of these attacks, EVERY TIME, run to the right and attack the other head.
When she spawns more spiders, run with them to the right and double back with a horizontal slash.

Finished the game, but need some help on a couple things:

Where are all the old giants souls? I got one from the bonfire area behind the door requiring king's ring in the forest of the giants and I know one is on the ancient dragon, but what about the other two?

I plan to go around and systematically murder all of the NPCs - anyone I should buy anything specific from or do before their bodies litter the floor?

I freed the assassin and he's been poorly trying to kill me for a while, someone mentioned further interaction?

Any other random notes?

Repost, anyone can throw me some hints?

You mean the one near the last bondfire? I'm human and it still says it's locked.

It's nearest the bonfire that's in the middle of the ruined structure. As you head out of the ruin, head like you're making your way toward the boss. Stick to the left side of the area in the water and you'll find a submerged bridge that will lead you across the underwater chasm and the locked door I'm talking about. If you make it to the cave with the corrosive mushrooms, you've gone too far.

Managed to beat Smelter Demon with Lucatiel alive. Summoned a Sunbro and he was using the lightning spear (did a lot of damage) while I was drawing away Smelter with the Redeye Ring. Seemed to work.

Praise the sun!

Fuck people who a) don't react to my bow gesture and b) who attack me during me bow gesture in duels. That'll getcha some asswhoppin'.

I hate when I get summoned and the people I'm playing with are completely uninspired or lackluster. No gestures, no acknowledgement, nothing. Christ they should at least show some proper Dark Souls etiquette. Rude.

What chest armor is this?

I came within one hit of beating that boss solo on my second go, but much to my surprise
her second face on her butt disappeared???
I had absolutely no idea what to do then because the gap between her attacks then became very short and I really couldn't get the last hit in :(

This is sad. I can't even do a dash jump consistently in the starting area. I have no hope of getting anywhere in this game. T_T Seriously, who maps L3 as the jump button? :(

I posted about this yesterday, but is the sun sword any good?

I'm currently dual wielding Lightening Uchigatana +10 and Manslayer Katana +5 with dex of 30 and Str. of 26

There are 5 giant souls. 3 from the trees in the forest. Besides the one you got behind the kings door there is also one in the pursuers boss room and one near the area where you first meet pate. There is also one the dropped by ancient dragon, and one is hidden away right at the bottom of black gulch (drop down to the right when you are at the worms and be ready for a fight).

Also, I won't spoil this but lets just say you should go investigate the boss room where you fought Freja...

How do i find
Darklurker? I met the wheelchair guy 3 times (he is now in Black Gulch). I joined the covenant and i got to a cave through the portal, beat all the enemies and fell down the hole. Then i just got back to the portal.

You'll learn to love it. MUCH better than having it mapped to O like before, far more consistent in the long run

Or just change it back :P

Go back and finish all 3 locations+lit up the bonfire in that area.
Each location is a different map, but all hole leads to the boss.

Am I missing something in the
Baneful Queen
fight? I can't deal with her and poison at the same time. I searched the whole area and I found a switch but it didn't seem to do anything.

You have to light the fire in each portal. Looks like youll be doing each one again, sorry man.

So i just need to go to all 3 portal and offer the guy a Human Effigy, then not enter the portals? I only did one portal by the way (the one at Black Gulch).

You can roll out of it, and sometimes I try to gauge if they will or not. I think I actually surprised one person because I was clearly performing pyromancy, only for that to enchant my sword and I rolled away then bowed, and he bowed back before the fight really began.

Of course sometimes they're an invader and I just don't give a fuck.

Go to the Central Earthen Peak bonfire. Light a torch on it. Then walk straight out across the way to the windmill shaft. When you see the action prompt appear, make the magic happen.

Hey i finally beat the boss
royal rat authority!
all i needed was some pyromancies i got from a dude in lost bastille which are pretty op, i mean one of them can one shot other players if they not careful.
Also the covenant of blood is pretty damn good i love the pvp even tough i get my ass kicked a lot, i see a lot of powerful weapons my favorite that i saw was the guy that a had a poisoned whip that was able to poison me in 4 hits obviously i lost that one.
Also this game seems huge i have like 3 bosses i can probably take on right and i don't feel particulary close to the end after 30 hours btw i'm soul level 103.

Where's this covenant at? Also, does a shield block poison counter or no?

Finally got through No Man's Wharf thanks to some GAF tips on that Pharros Stone trick. That made traversing through it much more do-able.

I kicked the Flexile Sentry's ass on my first try. I was considering using my souls that I collected while attempting to kill all the dudes on that pirate ship several times, but I said fuck it and just waltzed into the boss battle and took him out with ease. That boss is all bark and no bite.

Now I'm trying to decide if I want to continue through the Bastille or take my chances and explore down that giant well-like hole in Majula.

I think I finally have the strat down for D

.

It's more about watching her minions than it is about her. She can oneshot you, but most of her attacks are super easily telegraphed. I just beat her on NG+ and am off to make the Moonlight Greatsword now!
