Finally got third rank in Sunbro covenant.
I've helpt out people with tanking Lost Sinner (Used red eye ring), and the easy as shit Chariot.

But holy shit those requierements for Sunlight spear, 55 faith.

Guess it's time to farm Skeptic's spice.
''Drops from Leydia Witches in Undead Crypt''
''Drops from the Hollow White Mages in Brightstone Cavern''

Man, going back to Dark Souls, then Demon's Souls... I feel like Demon's Souls actually controlled the best, though Dark Souls II may be better than DS at least in some ways. It doesn't feel like the dash is very effective in Dark Souls annoyingly, though it is in both Demon's and Dark II. But DSII doesn't seem to be great about analog sensitivity like Demon's is, and Dark I is better too at least with character movement.

Kind of frustrating actually, I felt Demon's Souls really had nice, smooth control relative to a lot of other major games hitting, but I guess even its own successors falter there. I wonder why the hell this is either a problem to nail or is even actively avoided, I guess SOME clunkiness actually helps in the control, much like how Big Rigs's steering wasn't any good, but a lot of games still feel too jerky.

Unpetrify one of the beastmen in the Shaded Ruins - the one that leads to a larger area.

Don't have to.

You can jump over the wall at the top floor (above the bonfire) down onto the bridge that leads to it and keep your branch. You can also jump for the log next to the bonfire that has the lion dude with the key.

honestly there's no shortage of those branches, so I never saw the point.

Late game area
Dragon Aerie, Aldias keep, Dragon Shrine

Why couldn't the graphics be as amazing in other areas as they were here.

Totally worth the 60 hours of ugliness to see that. One of those great videogame moments.

I left it at the bonfire of the shrine as it was getting super late last night.

Think i might be finishing up tonight. have maxed 3 covenants, Doubt ill do any more.
NG+ for me is literally gonna be a quick start to end affair.

Helped 20 people as a sun bro with
Demon of song
my claymore Absolutley wrecks him. Quite funny running at him like LEEEROY JENKINS when everybody i help is always just standing back chipping away at his health. when i can take a quarter of his life off in one combo.

Is possibly the best weapon in the game. infused with lightning
Soul level 135, Still regularly get summoned within a min.

35 strength
20 dex
35 faith
480 odd damage.
That mixed up with a hefty pyromancy arsenal = A breeze
Darklurker
went down with just a few fireballs

Speed running for it.

For folks that want to play as much of the game with that weapon as you can. If you take the shortest path to the
Black Knight Halberd
you only get one branch which is used to
free Rosabeth
and get to the area.

The speed run community is already solidifying a fastest/shortest route, you can go different ways, but there will eventually be a shortest path.

Oh I know, I'm watching the speedruns. I don't think the speedrun path is necessarily the "intended" way to beat the game though.

Is the (pyromancy related)Dark
Pyromancy Glove
better than the regular
Pyromancy Glove
?

depends on your Health

My + 10 pyromancy glove is better then a +5 dark pyromancy glove by miles.
Unless you have 50% health and then it does better damage.
I've found 15 fire seeds so no worries in scrimping

Unless you run around at max hollowing, no.

Someone did some testing (don't have the link) and with both fully upgraded and if you are 75% hollow, they are equal in damage. If both are fully upgraded and you're below 75% hollow, dark is stronger.

It's a great weapon right when you get it, but I think it kind of pales in comparison to the one in DS1.

I've been doing that for the Ancient Dragon, but it seems like no matter how well I do, somehow he'll always get me in a situation where I can't avoid his fire.
Wait about half the distance of the fog door to it but at a slight angle so that it's not directly facing you. When it turns to face you, it's doing the long ranged blast so run in. After a few hits retreat to the same distance away but on the opposite side of it. Keep alternating the sides. I beat it this way and it never flew up. Doesn't seem to work when you only move to one side instead of alternating.

I see, not often I run around purposely with lower health, and with pyromancy hitting as hard as it already is...easy decision. Thanks for the tip!

Currently engaging in Jolly Cooperation outside the S
melter
D
emon
's front door, so much fun.

Hopefully be able to fully level up the Sunbros in a few hours, that's if people stop running into his AOE and dying...

Damn. Smelter was super easy once I took some armor off and dodged instead of getting my life slashed away from blocking or fatrolling away, I feel dumb for not even trying that earlier.

Yeah, he's definitely a lesson in learning to roll into attacks. If you can do that and avoid his AOE then it's an easy (but fun and fair) fight.

Reminds me a bit of Artorias in that respect.

Yeah, I was just approaching it wrong and tried to tank the damage too much. Naked Souls prevails once again.

I'm also in the same boat as you with the summon stuff. I have not seen a single person not die to that damned AoE move yet, haha.

Never had to worry about smelter. Summoned two people and nuked him from afar with lightning. I actually never knew he is "hard" lol, didn't get hit once.

Definitely out of Human Effigies now but finally beat the Iron Keep boss while keeping the NPC alive. I've had a pretty good rate of becoming human again after being summoned so the Effigies aren't a huge deal anymore.

the dogs in sinners rise usually drop effigies as well-congrats on iron keep boss

Never said it was any good or not (seemed alright to me), just that some people may want to get it as fast as possible, haha.

I'm one of those that want the Black Knight Halberd as quick as possible. Just beat
Ruin Sentinels
. Where can I find a Branch of yore to access
Shaded Woods
?

Another question I'm already level 70 and on my way to
Sinner's Rise
. Am I way overleveled?

You get your first at the Lost Sinner. I wouldn't say so, think I hit level 80 there.

I'm having trouble keeping the NPC alive during that Iron Keep boss. :(

I'm only on NG still but obviously I'm just not good enough lol. Is it even possible to keep her alive?

Kinda f**ked up that achievement because I've already killed the Pirate place boss and the Stinky underground poison place boss without her. :(

So I think can fight the final boss and beat the game now, but I'm gonna try and go to the extra areas I haven't been to (think there's only 2?), go back through the world and see if I missed anything.

Also, about King Vendrick...
when I saw him brainlessly dragging his sword around and the music there kicked in, I got chills. I almost think that should've been the final moment of the game because I don't think it's going to be topped presentation wise. Also attacked him long enough to activate him as a boss, holy shit at his health. I guess I need to finish up the extra areas to get something to make him beatable in a reasonable amount of time.

I'm sorry, but can someone tell me how I've been labeled as "guilty" when I've never invaded anyone as a red phantom? Getting invaded every thirty seconds by blue phantoms that have every spell, enchantment, and weapon gimmick capable of two-shotting me is making NG+ a real fucking chore.

Knew the Ballista Shan was there, but could never get it to work - ended up going to Heide's Tower of Flame instead, beating stuff there, and coming back with better stats and weapons. Then beat him in 2 goes!

So yeah, that area to the right of Drangs. Castle's first bonfire with 3-6 (..mini? bosses)
Ruin Sentinels
, alrighty thennnn.
