Well, I just beat Dark Souls for the first time today, so officially am moving on to DS2. Pumped to get into it, I've just reached Majula as a warrior. I'm loving the quicker movement so far!
LOL, let me guess Havels for dark souls?
I don't see that at all. I can't think of anything that I would consider the "main path" or intended order of bosses.
The speed run community is already solidifying a fastest/shortest route, you can go different ways, but there will eventually be a shortest path.
Is it possible to do NPC invasions for the Bell Covenent while offline? Saw something posted a while back that may have suggested it, but wasn't sure. I'd like to farm some chunks, but I'm only getting invaded and not doing any myself.
I went offline and what was cool was that I was invaded by an NPC bell keeper instead. I managed to kill him, and then thought for sure I would get my turn at some chunks...no dice. I am loving the chunks while they last now that I finally figured out the "secret." Once the secret is out though will anyone stumble in to these areas unprepared? Also has anyone seen white summons in Luna? I ahve recorded vid proving there was a regular and sunbro sign down inteh area when I was human, but I could not drop my sign at all when I tired to drop in there.
I already had one session where the host must have used chameleon or something because me and the other invader timed out looking for him in Luna....could have been a glitch. Hopefully there will still be some campers like there was in the forest in Dark...I never want the stream of chunks to stop....I literally couldn't get my ring off fast enough when I finally wanted to stop...I already had another invasion qued! LOL.
Do titanite chunks/slabs become more available later in the game? I'm currently at the
and I still haven't found enough titanite to fully upgrade my mace (Currently +7). I was hoping to upgrade my claymore at some point as well, but chunks/slabs seem hard to come by thus far.
You are actually very close to having chunks rain down on you one every few minutes. Join the
So Faith users, what are some good Chimes to go after? I currently only have the original Cleric's Sacred Chime, wondering if there is anything much better to get...
Also, what other spells aside from lightning spear should I go for?
I am not a faith user so I was pissed after my
fight when I got a chime for finding secret walls in the boss room. Afterward I looked it up and it actually sounds pretty high level for faith users. search the
boss area.
I am not sure its on God tier like spears are sounding, but I want to do emit force again this round....feels like Jedi stuff. There are all kinds of lightning miracles not just spears it seems as well. Try a few out?
Bell Keepers covenant is really starting to piss me off. Been at it for over an hour. Been invaded 9 times, been the invader exactly once. Tried both Sol and Luna, no difference at all.
Add to that it's like 5 minutes of waiting every time.
BWAHAHAHAH, you will do the face palm as I did when you figure it out...bless the hearts of those that havent figured it out or the stream of chunks may stop flowing soon! I gotta go back in and get more before the fun slows down. I started out being all chivalrous and while doing my commentary let's play vid, I actually just hung out upstairs using the binoculars to scope out the gargoyles and the next bonfire etc. while the other phantom took care of business or the host simply died on mobs...but lately I have been as trollish as the worst....couple poor bastards didn't even see me coming in belfry sol. I suffered without upgrades too long and now it is raining! Talk about pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! The greed has overtaken me!!! Thankfully, a couple hosts have been capable and were good fights and there were a coupe firestorm hosts who got me....too bad they got no chunk for it...at least in the rat covenant the tails go both ways.
I am going to leave my ring on tonight when I go to bed and see how many chunks I can get overnight while I sleep not even being there!!!!!
Is there a point where leveling ADP is useless?
I was wondering what the situation is with ADP and what ADP levels give you what advantages and how the equip burden roll speeds are like.
Also, whats a good dex weapon? I'm switching off between a falchion and heide knight sword. Haven't found anything better.
There was extensive discussion about this late lat night early this am. My opinion is get your agility up to 95-100, but do not neglect VIT and equip burden. Being able to "jump roll" behind enemies and get the backstab is god tier and not sure many are going for it; by wearing really light armour and equipment etc. you extend the length of your rolls. I thought it would be cool to try on the Allone set and it looks cool but the weight just cancels my roll length, back on with the
Aurous.I try to keep my burden % under 20 % for boss fights and PVP. I dual wield a falchion and scimitar sometimes and it is quickly becoming my favourite set up...so light. Heide isnt really dex, although lightning weapons seem to pack a punch in this iteration...many enemies are weak to it I think.. The two dex weapons that I have upgraded that get S rating are black steel katana +9 (heavy and slow at low level) and Ricards rapier +9 (lightning fast and light, but durability is crap and doesn't seem to break guard vs . bigger shields despite supposedly having the highest guard break reduction)....I am a little over halfway through the game, level 80, but left a lot of optional bosses on the table so far. 15 STR; 26 dex.
Holy crap what a mouthful...just loving this game right now folks, apologies for the space hog post.....
