I get summoned only a few seconds after putting my sign down. I think it's mint.
well, there is a difference between summoning someone and letting yourself getting summoned.

I really wonder why some people, like yourself, are still having issues. Outside of having to run "10 feet away" in game and back to refresh summon signs, I really am surprised how few issues I/we have had.
I agree the level design is the weakest in the series, but good level design and fast travel are not at odds with each other by nature. Demon's Souls still has the strongest level design, and its layout was partly focused on rewarding players with shortcuts and fast travel options.Nearing the end of the game.
I really really think they went lazy with the level design in this game. I mean, in DaS, it felt like everything was connected.
And fuck fast travel, good level design is so much better. Too bad that when people implement fast-travel options it's too convenient not to use.
My god Dargon's Aerie is beautiful.
btw.: is noone working on the wikis??
what is the most complete one?
There are still a ton of people playing and if you aren't quick other people will someone those people first, and if they do it'll say "summon sign disappeared." It's not like in Dark Souls 1 where the P2P connections and netcode were just so crappy it didn't work half the time.
Does anyone else hate the first-person archery or is it just me? I hate seeing an arrow fly out of a reticle. So immersion-breaking.
I wish it was still the old over-the-shoulder view.
I thought we had the same thing in every Souls games. Or is my memory shot?
darksouls2.wiki.fextralife.com is the one I go a lot, but only cause it shows up first in Google Search. Areas are often incomplete or unsure, but are filled out at least.
Goes both ways.
Invade someone.... they hide for 5 minutes... next thing I know there's 3 people bashing my head in.
Skill
I think both give me popup redirect ads on mobile... :/God, I hope wikidot becomes the go-to one. I'll contribute to it when I have some time. I can't stand the fextralife one. The layout is completely broken on mobile and there's way too many ads.

What took getting used to for me was having to continuously hold L1 while aiming. I am hoping that this might be the first souls game where you can wear large brimmed helmets while aiming manually (I haven't found any yet, I'm still early game)
Eh, I don't much care about skill or not when someone invades me. You invaded me to kill me and prevent me from doing what I need to do. I'm not just gonna lose and be like "oh well I lost" if you successfully invade and beat me. I get killed, lose my Human form and souls (if I'm not wearing the right ring), lose my progress in the level and all the enemies come back. So no, invaders...you don't get "skill". You don't get fair. You get whatever cheap underhanded tactic I can think of to get you dead so I can continue on my way. Double summons, turning enemies on the invader, fair game.
Fair fights are for duels.
wow, I got screwed out of getting the ring of blades +2
killed one of theas the other killed me, went back and only one was spawning, and that one dropped twinkling titanite upon deathpursuers
bah
Amen brother. You come into my world, waste my time, and complain about fairness?

whose idea was it to make those enemies inshaded woods
Sometimes part of the fun is starting over with completely different stats. Sure you could use the soul vessel but still the stats are not the same starting stats of the class you might want to pursue now and while its not a huge part for some it is a difference indeed.Guys a question: why would anyone build a complete new charachter? Isnt it better to continue with your existing(in NG+) charachter and invest in other stats?

This has been my experience. I'll still be in the DS1 mindset and think to myself "I'll slap my sign down and do this menial chore while I wait to be summoned, by the time I'm done I should get a taker"...but the chore never gets done because I never stop getting summoned. Never had more than a minute pass before getting summoned in this game, it's brilliant.
Summoning others on the other hand, I don't know - I'm still on my first playthrough and haven't tried it yet.

The foggy woods? Yea, they're lame. They hardly scratch me. Weak dudes.

Same thing is true for the other side as well. As an invader I can and should do everything possible to kill you. There is no "fair". If you want fair you can become a dragonbro.

Ive got 1 Pharros Lockstone, where to use it? In Earthen Peak or Lost Bastellis? Anyone?
People shouldn't expect fair from invaders. They're already invading you intent on screwing your run through the level and griefing you, so you should know what kind of tactics they'll pull.
Which is why it's perfectly fine to make them rue the day they decided to jump into your world by making them miserable with cheesy tactics and jolly cooperation group beatdowns. XD
I dont need to use it but just need advice what to do with the one I haveJust save them. Bastille is a better location if you need to use one.

Thank god for the turbo button on my MadCatz TE. The true Santiers Spear is almost mine!![]()
Thanx but I find it hard to find more LockstonesUse that one in Bastille. The Pharros locks there have good treasures.
I'm wondering this myselfDoes anyone else think that [late game spoilers]the Soldier's Rest bonfire will be the launching area for DLC? That's the only reason that really makes sense to me, given that there's a bonfire there and the only Ancient you can't access (yet).
Out of curiosity, where do you pick that spear up?

They are really annoying as a caster because you can't lock on.The foggy woods? Yea, they're lame. They hardly scratch me. Weak dudes.
