Out of curiosity, where do you pick that spear up?
There is an item that turns enemies against invaders, right? If so, what's it called?

Seed of a Tree of Giants
Seed of Giant, I think
That seems plausible, i didnt think about that. It would make sense since it could tell more aboutDoes anyone else think that [late game spoilers]the Soldier's Rest bonfire will be the launching area for DLC? That's the only reason that really makes sense to me, given that there's a bonfire there and the only Ancient you can't access (yet).
That's right. I see it's a starting gift. I wonder if there are other ways to get it.
From what I heard, you need to be invaded a lot to get it from those Giant trees. It's like they feel bad for you and want to help you. Dunno of another method to get it.
Thank god for the turbo button on my MadCatz TE. The true Santiers Spear is almost mine!![]()
Try using Redeye Ring, it makes it much easier to keep the NPCs alive. I also recommend to summon another person for those fights. If you use the Redeye Ring, the boss will mainly target you, and then the NPC and the other person can consentrate on hitting the boss.Keeping Lucatiel alive against Lost Sinner in NG+ is no easy task. I could do it quite comfortably if it wasn't forIs there any proper way to heal people if you don't have high faith? Warmth feels pretty useless since it would heal Lost Sinner as well. Or maybe it would keep Lucatiel in the fight just long enough, might have to try that. Probably gonna try Smelter Demon tomorrow as well. I've heard it's even worse.the pyromancers. They mess things up just enough for Lost Sinner to end up with 10-20% hp every damn time.
That seems plausible, i didnt think about that. It would make sense since it could tell more aboutthe war between Drangleic and the giants. The only thing that speaks against it i think is that with the other Giant memories, you cant stay in there "forever" (i'm not sure if it applies to the Giant King boss though), otherwise you get teleported back to Drangleic.
you realize you could run through an acid pool in shaded woods near the bonfire and bring the durabillity down in seconds?
edit: its dangerous but with a few healing items, its much faster
Me too, that would be a pretty cool DLCThat's what I was thinking too. For something more substantial like DLC, I don't think they'd keep the time limit. I'd love to actually see theLand of the Giants where Vendrick went.
As am I.I really am surprised how few issues I/we have had.

HAHA LOL...yes I have changed my handle many times, 2inept and 2AdErPT didnt do it for me. My initials are EPT, but I love ADP so much I might have to change the handle once again to 2 ADaPt.....I do believe in evolution!!!
Gotta say guys I'm loving this game...just got addicted to the Ricard's rapier (never used rapiers before as I thought they were too linear) as it mowed down the old iron king for me today.... I think I got 5 stabs in just one slam punish, and each stab did 250....that's 1250 in one go....and my dex is only 26.......it takes some practice, but I dead angled into his horns after a dodge, and then finished him off with a poke to his face. I keep trading it out but keep coming back. Am I the only one that find the katanas this round to be slow and heavy? Still uploading so will share later.

Watching the stream. Goddamn the mace packs a punch
That would be awesome from a lore perspective, but I don't actually thinkare very interesting enemies to fight.the giants
The wiki specifically says the weapon isn't effected by those acid pools.
it definitely wrecks armour and rings etc. in the rat area when you use lockstones...hurts the host as much as invaders also...unfortunately I know first hand....serves me right for being such a rat.
So,, how do you beat him?Vendrick
His tracking swings and very difficult to dodge, especially the sweep; and if I block it basically takes my entire stam bar. I have all the giant souls except the dragon.

How do you even make him aggressive? My attacks don't even register and he ignores me.Is Vendrick the giant hollow pacing around at the end of the Undead Crypt?

This part of the game is weird. The time limit + crazy HP and defense on the enemies made me feel like I should just run through it. Can't really say I knew what was going on in any of these. Maybe I should go back and try to find some loot that I missed, though.memories
I just meant that specific weapon isn't effected by the acid. And what do you mean when you say you dead angle'd a boss? I thought that meant angling your attack to hit people that hide behind shields.
I need to prepare for the PC launch. The invasions will be plentiful and many tears will fill my 64oz double gulp cup.
After that, first steam sale.
Can I cut off the taile of? I killed him by attecking only his taile but it didnt come offCovetous Demon
Dark Souls II |OT2| Fair? What's that?
In my session today, I finally felt that the game achieved that elusive atmosphere from the first game: oppressive and unrelenting. The jump in pacing after un-petrifying that early game statue, the way you keep stumbling onto area after area, that sense of Dark Souls inter-connection, and tons of nooks and crannies. I kept pressing forward until I landed in the blackness of The Gutter and then it was time to pick up my kids, still a little dazed from the experience. If the endgame gets even better as people have been saying, then it may supplant Dark Souls for me.

Dark Souls II | OT2 | A Rather Pleasant Scent
Goddamnit I keep double posting in this thread.
Doubt I'll ever get it. Only been invaded 4 times in 80 hours. And won every single one.

I would like DLC about Vengarl.
For anyone doing bernharts side quest, which bosses are the easiest to accomplish this task? I was thinking about using bonfire ascetic 2x in campsite
I'd definitely like an expansion at some point.
