Agreed. He seems like secret character material but I'm waiting on pins and needles, I want to see him now. I think the only thing that can almost match a playable Ridley is the salt that will come from the die hard haters who believe not even god himself could make Ridley playable and "look right."

I don't think there are many people like that. From my experience, most Ridley nay-sayers just legitimately think he doesn't have much of a chance due to Sakurai's track record and the Pyrosphere. The ones who you're thinking of are trolls, and they won't really care at all.

That sounds like the stamina mechanic that plagued Pokemon Trainer in Brawl.

At first it seemed like that to me then I thought about it and remembered if you had to switch weapons due to temporary breakage, the delay would be tiny, unlike Pokemans Trainer, since it wouldn't involve load time.

I like his idea a lot, actually since it the most fleshed out version I've seen of that concept. Though it probably would be more practical to just have different attacks corespond to different weapon types instead of designing 3 movesets for one character again.
